        @Przemko-Karpinski-0 you do not need to hard reset for calibration. You need good quality HR with sufficient intensity.

          This is so imprecise . Manual says one walk or run for at least 30 mins - you say couple of good variety HR runs but no e of this works . It seems we need to wait for another software update.

            @Przemko-Karpinski-0

            Suunto’s manual is notoriously vague and often out of date. The support gave me the exact requirements when I demanded explanation:

            • 15 to 20 mins walk or run
            • perfect HR and perfect GPS tracking. Any glitches will ruin VO2max
            • at least 8 minutes of zone 3 HR (don’t know if it needs to be continuous)

            Even with these instructions I am still missing my VO2max in Vertical.

            Compasses: M-311, A-10, SK-7
            Diving: Finnlight Navy 90, Vyper
            Sports: Metron, S7, S9B and Vertical

                @BrunoH Are we sure that walking activities produce VO2max estimates? Since the new update my walking activities don’t have any estimate, only running. It also says Running VO2max in the watch. Just wondering.

                  @tomasbartko I have no idea. I just repeated what Suunto support told me. Like I said, I still haven’t seen a single VO2max measurement in my Vertical.

                    @tomasbartko Walking doesn’t produce VO2max estimates anymore. Thank god for that. It was completely unnecessary and it would only mess up with the running.

                    As for running I’ve noticed it that the VO2max updates every 2 weeks if you run consistently every week. For me it works.

                      Hi there. I’m frustrated that my watch quit giving me vo2 max and equivalent age numbers too. Their literature tells me it’s supposed to do this, and it’s not. In fact, when I first got the watch, it was working. Really weird that it quit working.

                        @kawdenco same for me. Regardless of sport and intensity, the parameter is always the same from november 2023 (more than half a year). Apparently something went wrong with one of the upgrades and the watch no longer calculates it, but shows the value from the last saved value or from the internal memory.

                          @Mouse-Cruiser Looks like we have the same problem. My VO2 max is still 46.3 and the run estimate is completely out of sync with my actual fitness level. Is there any way to restart this? I’ve had two firmware updates since I started using it and it’s still the same.

                            after more than one year, my Race showed me the VO2max only after having walked (using the Walking activity) for the first time with the Suunto Smart Belt. Another subsequent walk and short run with the HR belt showed the VO2max as well.
