Suunto 9 Barometer problem
-
Hi Suunto The altimeter works but the barometer does not work and there is no barometer reference settings. When will there be an update for this beautiful watch? The sensor is clean, there is no problem, the watch has many deficiencies in terms of software.

@mechanic You should have the setting under outdoors.

@mechanic and the barometric pressure gauge should start to work after a couple of hours (3)

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Hello, Suunto 9 has software problems, no one can change it. It does not start the activity by waiting to enjoy the watch. Ambit 3 has Barometer Reference settings. It can be adjusted immediately. It is known that Suunto 9 urgently needs a Software Update. So, Suunto’s Quality and Durability are obvious, but this Suunto 9 Cannot Be Left Like This. Also, I am at home. Ambit3 is very nice while working. Suunto 9 , the new technology reasons why should I wait for variability and then it will work? Software Development is a Must for Suunto 9

yre you talking about the difference in msl pressure when the watch is at the same altitude?
Like 1014 hpa vs 1019 hpa?Seems like the absolute pressure reported by one of the sensors is off.
Can you check with a local weather station which data is closer to the reality? -
@Egika Ambit 3 measures 100% accurately from the local source, Suunto 9 only measures the altitude correctly. Why can’t we enter a Manual Barometer reference Setting in Suunto 9? We can Edit the Altimeter Manually. They should enable this with the software. Also, when I do GPS Find Location, the same happens. The Barometer Does Not Change at All. Various websites show the Suunto 9’s information. There are many people talking about this error. This watch needs to be updated. How can the Barometer not work while the Altimeter works?

@mechanic maybe there is a misunderstanting of the conception of the alti/baro.
There is one fixed value (absolute pressure) and two variable values (altitude / pressure at MSL). You can adjust both the cuurent altitude and the MSL pressure manually in the watch.
If the absolute value is off though, this cannot be changed afaik.
It is then a sensor malfunction which cannot be overcome with a software change.
