Beta firmware for sync issues 2.33.16

@fifi13013 Yes you can. Within the app, you can toggle it on or off to automatically update.
I have mine set to off and it will notify me if new software is available.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos well now it seem like the beta made it to a final.
Strange thing so far weather does no longer sync on my 9PP.
And GPS did not work this morning. There was a messag telling me to wait for the gps indicator and later on a message that I should sync for better gps. After syncing GPS started to work.
Once again the configured autostop settings are gone, while selected Suunto Plus apps are still there.
Had no sync problems before the update. -
@Todd-Danielczyk Great, thank you !!

For my 9 PP, the update did not bring anything new. As in the previous firmware version, it syncs flawlessly for the first few days, then stops.
What helps to bring the watch back to syncing:
- Delete pairing with the Suunto App (on the watch) and pair again (plus side no activity data is lost )
or - Turn off / on the watch (all non-recorded activity data such as readiness % is lost)
The phone I use is Android (Samsung S20 FE)
… I wish the robustness of the sync was back to the old good days when I bought the watch in 2023…
- Delete pairing with the Suunto App (on the watch) and pair again (plus side no activity data is lost )

I couldn’t update the firmware to 2.33.16 because of the broken sync in the previous one. Currently I have about 30+ logs/activities that are not synchronised and I really do not want to lose them. Does anyone know if there is a way to update the firmware without losing the logs?

Hi all. We would like to thank you for helping and testing the beta firmware. A warm thanks to all of you and most important the patience you had about this sync issue.
Now this version is public and solves the issue. We could not have done this without your help (a couple of people send the devices to support and we had a conversation initiated from here).
Let’s now jump into the next update for the quarter of the year that will come with features.
Kr,
Dimi

@satom I am trying to communicate this. Give me a little time.

Thanks for fixing the issue, I am happy that I had the patience to wait. Now vertical is back in the game
Good to hear as well, that suunto is working on some more improvements for the next update.
I know I have said this a lot if times already, so sorry for stressing this again, but please, please solve the missing track back / disappearing breadcrumb issue with the next update.
Having the possibility to follow your track back if needed a super important feature for a gps outdoor watch.
Spring season outside in the mountains is still on and summer season is coming soon. Would be great to have this extra margin of safety on my wrist.

@ortles hello in the society! So update, my watch came back from service today - updated to 2.33.16 - today it’s about one hour of walking plus half an hour of running - everything is fine - activities synchronized on the first try! Thank you Suunto!

Hi, I’m experimenting touchscreen issues since update, that I never had before (by the end of the day or next morning it becomes not operant, and need soft reset to work again).
Does someone also has issues ? -
-
@Tieutieu Hi! I have had similar problems for a long time and have mentioned them constantly. Problems arise periodically about once a month. There were problems with previous versions of the software as well.
-
@Tieutieu hey have same Touchscreen issue often. But now i have Strange backlight issue… If i Press a Button and scroll about the widgets its going more than 30 seconds until the backlight turns on… Scary. Seems like the light Sensor manage the “in switching” itself. Before the update the light everytime goes on when i press a Button. If i am in dark conditions it seems that the Backlight needs not so long time until switching on. Then it need time perhaps 10 seconds. But the Algorithm is very inconsistent.
-
@Tieutieu the non responsible Touchscreen i can always Sold – wash the display with normal soap and make IT dry after “cleaning” No soft reset in my case necessary. Try this and perhaps it help for you, too.

I updated to official 2.33.16 three days ago, and since this update, the HRV problem (no value reported) that was fixed on 2.33.14 has reappeared, strictly no value.
Does anybody know if it is possible to go back to a previous version ?
Never had problem with synchronisations, nothing new for me.
-
@luke55 hmmmmm dont know. But think it should be possible like the Beta firmware here, @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos. Perhaps there is an Option to got the Firmware before?
And @luke55 you have Turn in HRV measurement here? In sleep Option? -
Yes, of course, after updating, I systematically check that HRV measurement is activated.
I am going to ask support how to go back to 2.33.14, other option is to wait for the next update, hoping HRV will come back. -
@luke55 thats really spooky
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Awesome! Thanks a lot, mate.
It’s great that Suunto has solved this problem and I look forward to hearing more about the new features that are coming.
