Suunto belt - red skin
-
Hi, I was wondering if you knew. I’ve been running with a Suunto chest strap for years and never had a problem. Now that it’s getting warmer, I’ve been getting red, irritated skin and small blisters around the sensor for the past few days while wearing it. It looks a bit like a burn. Especially when I’m wearing a running vest and running for several hours. Does anyone have a similar experience? I really don’t know what to do about it. I wash the belt after every run. It’s a few years old now, so maybe it’s time for a replacement? I don’t know. Thanks

Well, maybe it hardened a bit, and the fabric got a bit coarse.
Maybe it also loosened and it slightly rubs on the skin -

I thought about that too. I guess I’ll try to buy a new belt and see.
I still wear it the same tight, but I can try to tighten it more. Thanks. -

I still wear it the same tight,
I meant that the band did lose a bit of elasticity
