      I paired a chest band to measure the HR with my Vertical, but I do not understand if the recording is using it or not. It would be great to have both wrist and chest recording side by side to compare.

      How can I set the source before training and once recorded see some clear info saying where the data comes from?

        @kurtpenter
        when the little HR icon in pre-start screen shows a heart with a “strap” data comes from a connected external source.

          Looking at the HR post run might be enough to tell what was used, depending on how well OHR works for you and the type of session you did, however when in doubt, another way to be sure we used a HR strap is looking at the run/activity on third party site like Runalyze, they display the nice R-R intervals of the session, and this is only possible when a HR strap is used.

            @freeheeler thank you for the info but I do not see any strap on the heart in pre-start (nor after). Here is my prestart screen and the HR for sure is coming from the strap as I’m not even wearing the watch on my wrist.

            I have a Sunto Vertical, is your model the same?

              @herlas you opened a whole new world for me with Runalyze! 😮 Now I just need to find the R-R graphs… 🤠

                Ok… I found what I was doing wrong: I’m using Fourt Frontier X2 and need to start recording on it before starting the activity.
                Thank you @freeheeler!

                  @kurtpenter that sign means … no HR-sensor found (meaning the sensor is either (still) deactivated, not nearby … or no sensor has been paired) and the OHR of the watch is used.

                  By the way: the use of the symbol is identical for more or less the last generations of Suuntos, including Suunto 5, 9 and Vertical
