@Vasily I got to play with Suunto 9 initially back in September with 2.1.64 firmware. I personally didn’t notice much difference between that and my now permanent unit with 2.4.14. I have notifications, heart rate, activity, and sleep tracking enabled and work out pretty much daily. The watch drops about 10-12% a day, more if GPS and longer runs are involved, which I would still consider acceptable.

You don’t have standby backlight enabled? Working out with backlight enabled?

@NickK thank you for sharing your expirience. I think, that without trainings my S9 uses 10-12% also. With 1.5 hour running with backlight, it takes 22-24% per 24H. I also using notifications, heart rate, sleep tracking.

let it drain full and then charge full. Needs recalibration

@Vasily I noticed when backlight is used, the battery drain is substantial. I think you can see it if you check S9 estimate for how long it will last given a battery mode in Start screen. Toggle backlight off and off and see hours melt away. I used to run with backlight, but then I figured if it’s dark enough that I need it, it’s probably dark enough to warrant a head mounted flashlight. Problem solved: perfect visibility in all conditions, no unnecessary battery drain.

BTW I also have reports that airplane mode on makes more battery space 🙂
Use with 24/7 OHR + Sleep tracking gets 7% per day

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I last charged my watch almost 4 days ago, have 3.5 hours of training so far this week, half of it with OHR on, some even with backlight me thinks. Still have 50% of juice remaining in the tank. Fairly certain it would last me remaining few days of the week and a long 18-mile run on the weekend.
