S+ Vertical Race

Yesterday I used this app to test my performance on a vertical km. I was just a little confused while running, how do you suppose to know how much ahead of your goal are you? If you are behind it shows distance, for example 0.03km behind. Sometimes there is empty place (right on time?). And if you are ahead it shows NGP. At least this is how I interpreted the data. For me it would be more useful if there is time (20s ahead/behind) in top left corner. When I saw NGP I assumed that I am ahead of my PR, but did not know for how much. Am I using this right?
Anyone else tested this app, what do you think? Nevertheless I beat my previous PR on that course by over 4min, so all good

I tested it on saturday on a short vertical race (1km w/ 150m+), I started way too fast and was just trying to survive 'til the top after that. I gave a few look at the watch/app but was too “into it” to fully grasp or analyze what was displayed
