I have just unboxed new Vertical. Connected them to Suunto App, added WiFi and waited last firmware to be downloaded to watches. I have confirmed the update. Vertical turned off, stayed black for several minutes, then message “the service is being restarted to safe state” has been shown. I waited for some time, Vertical went on again telling me there is no update even showing old firmware version. Suunto app is telling new update is available. How am I supposed to update the watches? I tried resetting settings, it leads to the same result. I have 2.25.48 version, Suunto App shows 2.33.12 as ready and downloaded. This is kind of disappointment:(

First check (on Your watch) options ->general ->software update (if its available) if not, reset both phone and watch, and check for update or re-connect watch with phone.

@Tami999 Hi, download is not available in settings. Vertical has older update saying it’s actual. App is telling update available. Restarting phone doesn’t help. Reseting watches leads to update install but ends with watches turned off. If I starts them, old version is installed.

Have you uploaded the latest update/firmware in the app on your phone? I know for me I have to go into the settings on the app, check that there’s a new update available and then I upload it to my phone

Once you’ve done that you should then be able to go into the settings on your Vertical and transfer the package across from phone to watch, but it needs to be updated in the Suunto app in the first instance before you can update anything on your watch. Hope that all makes sense

@MiniForklift yes I did it. As I wrote: SuuntoApp shows that Vertical has new update available (and it is uploaded into watches), but watch is telling is actual showing older version. If I reset the watch I see new firmware is being updated, but watches never gets on, I have to turn them on and it is having old firmware version.

Probably a daft question but have you tried uploading the new update on the watch? Sorry, I’m just trying to understand why you’re doing a reset 🤷

If it’s showing on your SV you should be able to upload it on to it, once it’s started you should get a message that reads something like “improving your watch for adventure”, after it’s all finished it kind of reloads/restarts and once it’s back on your original watchface you should be all set

@MiniForklift I have unboxed new Vertical, connected to SuuntoApp. Application told me there is new update (2.33.12). So I let app to upload the update. Went to watches, Settings-General-SoftwareUpdate and confirmed to update the watches. It did started to install update (showing “improving your watch for adventure”), but after some time error number has been displayed (which I unfortunately haven’t written down). The watches did not wake up. So I turned them on by pressing top button, went to settins seeing old firmware version 2.25.48. So I connected watches to SuuntoApp again, app displayed that new update is already downloaded. So I checked watches, and Settings-General-SoftwareUpdate is gray, showing I have current update installed, which I do not have as 2.25.48 is displayed in About. I did several hard resets to somehow get firmware installed, but installation always ends with old firmware.
