SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.33.12 - Q1 2024
-
@Zdeněk-Hruška Yeah, you are right, with the newer watches shouldn’t happen.
This issue was quite “usual” with watches that were updated using Suuntolink. -
@Niclas-Brundell for some reason the update was successful but the end of download was not acknowledged. This may (or may not) result in your watch trying the update again tonight to the same version.
-
Well done SUUNTO for this SV update, which includes numerous bug fixes and performance improvements yet to be tested. I find the Watch faces very basic and disappointing.
However, I was expecting a much more major update, including :
-SUUNTO Climb pro
-Detailed sleep analysis with phases
-Napping detection
-Data on screen with map
-NGP as data field
I’m waiting for that… hopefully not too long. -
ruler is very useful. previously when i hiking, i sometimes need to manually calculate the distance from my position to my destination by count number of contour lines.
-
I just updated my SV without problems and 20% battery load
-
I suggest to add an option to " sport mode customization"
a mode of selecting one figure that will appear on the entire screen today it is possible to set a screen with three figures when the first and third figure determine that they will be empty but this does not increase the font of the only remaining figure -
@pilleus said in SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.33.12 - Q1 2024:
Q1 2024 means that there are 3 other updates in 2024? 🧐
Typically update schedule is per quarter, but then it gets affected by various things (last moment issues, hardware releases, lack of resources) so releases are shifted or skipped
-
@cosme-costa OK, that explains it. This was… unexpected, but no biggie. I updated right after an interval workout, so I was looking for that data on the watch first. It’s all in the app anyway. Thanks!

@Danny-poleg idée toute simple mais le temps de récupération ce qu’il me semble important pour une montre de sport ?
détection du seuil lactique et enfin elle serait top -
Do you know if this fixed the issue with contour lines that caused them to be removed from the map above 200m zoom? Are the contour lines coming back in the foreseeable future?
(I love the ruler, btw. It’s basic but quite helpful)

Updated my Race this morning, went flawlessly and quickly. What little lag I had is almost completely gone - very smooth and very fast. Raise to wake is refined, works great. The maps ruler is excellent, will be very useful. The reminder to resume or end also seems useful as I have forgotten to end a run and driven miles before I realized it. Haven’t had a chance to evaluate sleep tracking (which was already working pretty good for me) or OHR, but those improvements plus other bug fixes are much appreciated. Thanks Suunto!

Have sun icon in night forecast been corrected with moon ? I can’t check it since here is cloudy…
-
FYI
This FW has also fixed an issue with indoor cycling activities and power meters.
After an outdoor cycling activity with HR and power meter, you are able to see both HR and power zone distributions in the log in the watch.
If the activity is indoor cycling (with HR and power meter) then only the HR zone distribution could be seen in the log in the watch in previous FW.
This has now been fixed and both HR and power zone distributions are now visible in the watch as expected.
Kudos to Suunto for fixing this (minor) issue as well!

@renton82
no it’s still sun at night.
I think it’s low priority. would be great of course but more important topics on the desk I guess -
@Honza no, for now contour lines are still limited to 500m.
-
I wonder if a those are fixed :
- custom battery modes on SV
- with ski resort sport mode, D+ and lift distances were counted.
-
-
FYI airplane mode in control panel doesn’t do anything.
-
@Mff73 so far battery modes were not customizable on the SR
-
@Tieutieu battery modes are not customised actually… Nothing changed after the update
