      Hi

I recently bought the S9 Baro to replace my old Garmin 735XT as I want it for more hiking etc. I cycle a lot and use a head unit on my bike (Wahoo Roam) and don’t use my watch.

I did a ride on Sunday and according to my TrainingPeaks I did approx 2300kcal for the ride. Yet my watch which wasn’t recording is showing just 1900kcal for the full day. I.e not taking in account the ride I did.

My old Garmin would recognise when I am exercising and it would log pretty accurate kcal burn and at the end of the day I would have a daily total. Is there a way of doing this on the S9 Baro without logging the exercise?

@MartinGT I believe the reason for that might be that when not recording the 9B takes less frequent HR datapoints than the Garmin. As a solution you could just record the cycle as an indoor cycle to record the heart rate.
