Suunto "ClimbPro"?

@Wilson75 As Suunto claims that its goal is “not to do what others do”, I highly hope and expect that they will not do a “climb pro” like, but that they will do it much better (if it is possible - I don’t know garmin’s climb pro).

I do not like Garmin’s implementation, it has its uses but not well done IMHO. I used it in ultras and did not find it that helpful, eventually quit using it…as well as selling the Epic Gen 2 after 8 months…death by a thousand cuts.

I don’t know if it tells something about a possible « climb pro » from Suunto, but there is a new SA beta for iOS (2.32.0), which seems very cool, with climbs, descents, flat counting !

Sounds very promising to me !

@Tieutieu amazing we can see numbers of climb/ length etc… We are getting closer to one of the most requested S+.
After s+ race pacer, stryd,… Suunto team are on fire on serious features in 2024.

It is coming, may be a couple weeks. iOS is great. Upcoming race this summer!

Do you know the parameters used to consider an elevation as a climb?

Maybe the graph is not in scale and that part is slightly uphill, almost flat.

i think it is a bug or the parameter are not ideal. have the same flat marked ( blue) in my routes. it is definitely uphill in my route. one part is around 200m with 30m vertical and is marked as flat in blue i will look how i can send this infos to suunto in the beta

for further information the race is called
3 Berge Lauf ( 3 hills run) , so the 3 hills you see are all uphill the whole time. to much blue to see. i ran the race last year.

@Wilson75 I have asked what are the parameters for flat. Will report back here. Not a bug but I do not know what parameters rise or fall over a distance determines color of grade.
