Suunto watches to come in 2024
-
@taziden I’m in the Spanish Telegram forum too, where there are Suunto workers. They haven’t said anything concrete but they have left some hints now and then. I have deduced the following:
1.- New devices will come this year.
2.- The top end devices are the Vertical and the Race, so do not expect a high end device (Success of the Race seems very, very high).
3.- Suunto doesn’t have devices in the mid and low range, devices may come in this range.
4.- Suunto wants to have stable prices of its products, do not expect to see many discounts on the products, not even online (less product devaluation), but the product price will be very good.
5.- Some distributors from Suunto already know the roadmap and what is going to come (some of them have posted in insta that we must pay a lot of attention to Suunto this year).
6.- In the coming days/weeks we will see something very, very big from Suunto that we will like a lot (could be next week). -
@cosme-costa oh Wow dreaming for big news
-
@GiPFELKiND As I said these are my deductions, nothing official.
-
I love Suunto watches. What I a missing though is a Bike GPS computer like those of other makes. I’d love to have the quality and the reliability of Suunto on my bike. Not with many gimmicks, just like the simplicity and the essentials of my quite old now Garmin 130.
-
@zanxion, or just a decent, modern, small factor handlebar mount for the current watches!
-
Something with size/weight of the 9PP with 1,3“ AMOLED is my guess. But this could also be wishful thinking As much as I like the Race, something smaller and lighter would be awesome.
-
I think it is also possible to glean something from here:

@cosme-costa hope it’s gonna be movescout:)
-
@mlakis plenty of decent watch mounts on Amazon/eBay.
I have a wahoo on the bike, which is great, but do keep toying with the idea of trying out the Vertical for navigation on the bike. -
@Saketo-Nemo Great, thanks!

@Saketo-Nemo
I celebrate the sustainability awareness a lot! -
@thailon Do you mean Movescount? That is highly unlikely to happen as both Android and iOS Apps can run on their respective Windows and Mac computers. I can run Suunto App on Mac Silicon with a 16" screen. There is no need to develop a web-based app as the current apps work perfectly on larger platforms.
-
@zanxion agreed!
SRAM buys Suunto and the new fully integrated Karoo 3 is delivered.
Zipp tires are announced and then you can have everything in one ecosystem umbrella.
-
@mlakis That would be nice, but I’d like a nice cycling computer made by my favorite maker a lot more. Cycling computers have bigger screens and they are more cycling orientated devices than sport watches.

I don’t see much how can that evolve from their ownto either this or this
On my side I think it would be cool to see new mid end devices with barometer, based on the design of the s9b ti charcoal with updated internals.
Something at the current price (around 250eur), so it would also be competitive with coros and fr165 .
And for sure software update for all devices with more customization and watch faces. -

This one was pretty cool

@André-Faria, see here and here.
Older mounts you referred are large and developed for older watches not accounting the HR sensor that has to be protected.

I use this mount for all watches with OHR … https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0B9N9BYXK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
