Sport Activity Alerts
-
On my Coros Apex Pro I had the possibility to have an alert (audible and vibration) when I went outside of set (selectable, or none) parameters - such as outside target HR range (not necessarily a zone, just a settable range for the alert), or outside a cadence range when running. Not deal breakers, but I found them really useful rather than checking the watch every 20 seconds to check.
I don’t see this on my SV, or have I missed it somewhere?
If it isn’t there, can I add it to a ‘suggestions’ list (is there a suggestions list? If so please advise where to find it!).
And whilst I am on suggestions, I wished I could link the SV to a Concept 2 Rower (PM5) as I could on the Coros, to get direct readings on the watch for stroke rate, distance etc etc Very handy!

@Swaddy61 choose your sport mode on the watch, e.g., Running or Cycling.
Go to Intensity Zones and choose either HR Zones, Pace Zones (running) or Power Zones (cycling). Then select Set Target Zone and choose your target zone.
Whenever you exit or re-enter your target zone, you will get vibration and probably also sound (I have all sounds turned off so I haven’t tried if sound works).

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen Thanks - I had read that, but understood what they wrote differently! I’ll give that a go next time!

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen Hmmm… Well it is close to what I was hoping for, but not ‘exactly’. I can work with the HR zones alert, even though what I would really ‘like’ would be perhaps an HR alert for an upper level, but not so much the lower level, otherwise it will alert me all the way through my warm up too! Is there a way round that? Structured workout perhaps? On the Coros you could set the alert for whatever range you wanted, quite seperate from your HR zones.
It certainly isn’t a major issue, just a nice to have that I would like!
A cadence alert would be good as that option is not there. I don’t do a lot of running (my knees don’t like it), and when I do my cadence has a habit of going outside my ideal range - probably not a problem for people who do a lot of running! So I’ll keep my request for the cadence alert!

Try this, you may find what you are looking for in S+ apps. This one is a cadence coach where you can set cadence alerts. -
@Brad_Olwin Yep, I think that will do it - many thanks!

@Swaddy61 In theory structured workouts would mostly do what you are after but as discussed in other topics unfortunately they only currently display when you are out of zone rather than alerting. You are certainly not the only one after such functionality so we wait with hope
