I use multisport walking to and from activities from my apartment. When I come back to my place I sometime climb the stairs up to 13th floor - The app does not seem to register this. There is no record of my heartbeat rising when I look at the stats of the activity. I have both ended the multisport after climbing and continued another exercise at home.
I would imagine the watch Suunto 5 loses GPS in the stairwell. Is this normal and on purpose or a glitch? -

@Hekemon the Suunto 5 does not have an altimeter, so it cannot record you climbing stairs inside (i.e. without GPS signal).

@isazi so actually he was asking why the HR increase would not show anyway, it wasn’t about the altitiude…

Yes I wanted to know what happens with the walking excercise because the end of it after entering the staircase seems to disappear.
The ascent/descent function wit the Suunto 5 is always so inaccurate that it is not really useful anyways.
