Training notifications stuck on screen while training
-
During training, fullscreen notifications get stuck on the screen and don‘t close automatically. They should disappear automatically after a few seconds, but most of the times they don‘t. You need to manually press the middle button to close them. Sometimes there are even multiple of those notifications stacked on each other and you have to press the middle button multiple times to close them all.
For example: If I have set an intensity target of heart rate zone 1 and my HR drifts into zone 2, the notification „Slow down“ is displayed. If I don‘t keep looking at the watch (to keep the display fully active), this notification doesn‘t get closed automatically. Usually I look just briefly at the watch, so the notification is still displayed when I lower my wrist. Now If I return back to zone 1 the watch beeps and vibrates (because I am back in the target zone). Afterwards my HR rises again into zone 2, and I get another „Slow down“ notification. If I press the middle button, it get‘s closed. But there‘s still the first notification visible, so I need to press the middle button again. Today I have managed to have 10 notifications stacked on each other. I needed to press 10 times the middle button to close all of them.
Those notifications are only closed automatically when the display is fully active (not dimmed or turned off). I guess this doesn‘t work as designed
So far I have seen this behaviour with:
- Intensity targets (HR)
- Intervals (created on the watch, the #1, #2,… screen)
- The notification when I reached 50% or 100% of a duration target
- Lap screen (although not as often as the other cases)
This happens with custom and basic sport profiles.

Right. This is a know quirk.
