Bug or user error?
I had some sport profiles where I disabled HR monitoring. When I select the sport mode, I see that HR measurement is initialized, but when I scroll down to the options the “Wrist HR” option is disabled.- rebooted the watch
- re-enabled and disabled the wrist HR option
- cycled through the battery modes.
But still HR is measured in the sport mode. Did I miss something?
-
Tiny bug: When in the Widgets menu, swiping right returns to watch face, but the watch face comes in from the right. It should come in from the left to follow the swipe direction.
-
@surfboomerang basic sport modes don’t keep the setting after an update, unfortunately
-
@markusoutdoors we understand you want such a watchface. It was there in the s9b
-
@runomatic ok ! Just thought (but didnt tried) that several could be pinned. Thanks !
-
Is the update also for 9PP?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
Yes, I have it in my s9b, in my traverse alpha, elementum, essential, s6 and Vector. And why is it not possible to make the in my view senseless solar graph in vertical watchface to a baro-graph???
For being outside it is a really important information which I would like to have at one glance. -
Excellent work Suunto! I’m very happy with how slick my Vertical is now! I will encourage everyone to buy one. I think I’ll be spending less time browsing this (addictive) forum now, and spend more time outdoors in the Southern Hemisphere summer. I’m going to get out before all the negative feedback comes in regarding lack of emojis, inaccurate step counter, bad wrist HR, lack of multi sensor support, no guide’s notifications, bad turn by turn notifications, maps that don’t update, watch faces without baro trends, and multiple alarms that don’t select specific days of the week. In the end this isn’t important to me. Though, what I would still appreciate, which isn’t there yet, is a customisable data field on the map (for HR…), an upcoming waypoint list/screen, and a ‘ClimbPro’ type feature. Thanks again for the hard work.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I have the issue with custom sport modes
-
So, all metrics on the watch are now from Suunto and not from Firstbeat?

Same for me but only for my « walk » custom mode - either ohr is pinned or not, ohr works. But it is ok for my « hike » custom. Strange. I’ll try to delete and set again my walk mode.
-
@Tieutieu I don’t use HR for walking and windsurfing, but both are enabled now although the “Wrist HR” option is disabled.
-
I noticed that all the metrics are synced between Race and Vertical exept Sleep and HRV (and steps), so what happen if i switch between Race and Vertical for sleep?
-
No vo2 max in treadmill mode any more?
-
Has sleep tracking been implemented? Is there nap tracking?
-
@LitchiMonster
Something had to be left for the next update. Now to enjoy
-
@Stefan-Kersting I think no. No more buggy vo2max from wrong realtime estimations of pace.
-
@markusoutdoors for the time being you can use the weather app when doing an activity outdoors or if in time mode glance at the altitude widget that shows the trend , if it’s mission critical I hope you are recording the route for safety and the weather s+ is you friend.

@e6321 is the speed of the interface also improved (less lag)?
I still see this lag. Or maybe its just slow “animation” or framerate/refresh rate when surf on options. Buttons work instant, but u can see screen blinking/slow refreshing when its move. Something like using on Your PC 144hz screen or lock it on 15hz and move Your crusor.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos When there’s no real-time estimation any more, how will the vo2max be calculated? And it’s just accessible on outdoor gps runs?
