@Jonathan-C I have also seen somewhere on hinstagram a black version of the same with red triangle which is not even in the market. I think was some Joaquin posts…
-
@fluca Only Ambassadors
-
Bummer. I hope one day we can have the Ambassador Edition 22mm bands for the public, the makes all the difference!
-
@Jonathan-C Would be so cool
-
@Jonathan-C I just ordered a Suunto Smart Belt and a branded red strap so I won’t miss the read triangle
I am so happy already with my SV and even more after reading what will come on SV with the upcoming firmware that I wanted to give them some money. Their are making moves in the right direction and I truly hope the will not end up with too many useless features like Garmin’s
For me they can stop with the features in the next firmware and refine and kill bugs till the end of times. Same hold true for suunto app -

@GiPFELKiND everything everyone else besides the testers know about, probably
-
@fluca how do you find the dual layer compared to standard SV strap? Something about them just makes me want to get it, even with the Mammut limited edition and I don’t need an extra watch it is somehow very tempting - tells me they have succeeded and can make up some marginal utility. I will show my support but just waiting a little more hoping to see the becomes available, or my native Canyon strap wears out, whichever comes first
-
@fluca Managed to track one down. Only comes out for special occasions!

are those features making like easier that will be introduced and I care about. There will be much more on the training side that I do not care about.
I have learned how to balance work, family and training and do not need all the trendy marketing gimmick famous nowadays.
I do not know when will roll out and I do not care. I have already more the 120 hrs of training on the vertical without a single flaw. A soft reset from time to time when in watch mode to restore touch functionality. As a Garmin/polar user my experience was even worst. -
@Jonathan-C not received yet. Ill let u know
-
@jasonc thats 24mm large. Sv and Sr come with 22m
-
@Jonathan-C I use the White one, alternatively. I don’t feel a big difference with standard ones.
So, what makes me use the white (or the green, black, orange, lime or sand…yes I know I havetoomany 22 straps…) is mainly the match with my outfit ! -

Ambassador nylon strap was always my favorite one when I was using S9B. For some reason it feels much softer than the new Suunto Explore I nylon straps. Does anyone have any hints on how to soften Suunto nylon straps? A lot of heavy use?
My son took that old S9B, but he let me have the Ambassador strap. I finally managed to make it fit Vertical. I used hot water to soften the nylon around the 24mm pins in order to pull them out. With a little more hot water I was able to squeeze the strap between Vertical’s horns using standard 22mm pins. Now my Vertical is complete
The strap is a bit crumpled but works just fine!

i may read that the new Suunto Race straps are softer than previous ones.
-
@Mff73 where i can buy the new Race bands? Seems not in Suunto Store
-
@GiPFELKiND those are generic. As long as the band is 22mm wide it fits Race. As for the nylon ones I can only find “Explore I” series bands in Suunto store and IMHO those are not as comfortalbe as my old Ambassador band like I described above.

The Race silicone straps are not really softer, they are more stretchy, due to more grooves.

Do anyone here have the lime green version of the 22 mm Athletic 5 silicone strap by Suunto? I keep getting confused, on some pictures it appear very bright lime/neon yellow but on others comes across as rather pale. Would like to see some good pictures showing more truly it’s accurate colours? I only want it if it is a bright colourway…

@Joakim-Ågren
I would describe it as bright yellow
