TSB in Watch Screen Not actually like in app

Your bugs are secret? -
@Mff73 One of the things I noticed was that in the weather widget there was no symbol for the weather next to the temperature. Furthermore, UNFORTUNATELY the battery saving mode has completely disappeared, during training it would be cool to turn off the display completely to save the battery instead it lights up quite brightly. I ran with it this morning. Furthermore, the average speed doesnāt work in the WALK profile. Yes and as I said, the TSB are Unfortunately, ATL and CTL data is only mirrored by the app and is not calculated via the watch. What a shame! In other words, if you donāt take your cell phone with you during training for days, you wonāt get any dataā¦ Thatās exactly what I would have expected from this new watch. Yes, and that said, the data that is NEWly shown on the watch does not match that of the app. Last night I had a TSB of -7. This morning I was running and it was -21 in the app, but the watch didnāt show it even after multiple syncs Unfortunately, just like with the release of the Vertical, this does NOT speak in the least of a sophisticated system but rather the release of a completely immature new watch within a very short space of timeā¦
-
@GiPFELKiND thanks - got it
-
@GiPFELKiND maybe better return it quickly, before it causes a heart attack for you.
-
@GiPFELKiND I think that are valid points for a ābugā report and especially the TSB calculation should be happening on the watch, but I would not call it an completely immature system.

@Mff73 we had a German chat about the topics @GiPFELKiND has posted here

@ChrisA the TSB and other cumulative training related parameters are calculated in the app, as users possibly use more than one watch.
To only have it in the watch alone would omit trainings from other watches from the calculation.
Finally we get training stats synced between multiple devices!
Like my TI Race that I received today has cumulative training data from the start of the week that I recorded with another device. -
@Egika that makes sense! No problem for me, I actually find the training metrics extremely good

@ChrisA noticed today an issue in sleep sync.
When I looked at the Suunto App for the first time sleep period was ā21:58-04:00ā. It could be because at 4am I awoke for 20 minutes.
In a few minutes it was ā21:58-06:00ā. I didnāt do anything at 6am besides sleep
And it remains unchanged in Suunto App (v4.77.3).In Suunto Race (v2.29.48) sleep period is correct ā21:58-07:01ā
I didnāt make soft reset or something else - I just want to track the next night and check whether it is correct.
-
@sashaklepikov works perfectly for me - sometimes it takes some minutes in the morning to catch up (like in your example) but after about 10 to 15 minutes awake it shows the correct times.
-
@ChrisA yes, I supposed that. But now itās almost 3pm and Iām going to bed soon again And in SA it is still ā21:58-06:00ā. You just asked about bugs.
Thatās fine for me. I just wanted to test it during sleeptime. Usually I donāt wear them at night.
-
@sashaklepikov for me correct sleep tracking depends on setting my resting HR on the watch correctly. If it is too low, the app will track my wake up time incorrectly (too early). If itās too high, it will not detect the correct time I fell asleep. For me, it works best if I set my resting heart rate on mythe watch about 9 to 10 beats above my nightly resting heart rate.

wow. how interestingā¦
after the first night I set resting HR as the minimum HR from the first night (54).
on the second night (this night) minimum HR is 52 and this sync issue(?).
just in case Iāll play with these settings. thanks -
@sashaklepikov for me my nightly average resting HR is 52-53 (53 atm)
So I set my average Resting HR on the watch to 62
For me, sleep times and recovery seems to work best and sleep times match the times I actually fell asleep and the times I woke up.

There are some many things to like or even love about this watch. But this issue, I canāt understand how did Suunto miss this. Itās understandable that watches arenāt perfect at the launch and propably software update will fix this eventually. But these training metrics shown also in the watch is one of the key elements to buy this watch. And itās also highly marketed with these features. In my case I tried even a hard reset, but the problem keeps coming back (tsb and ctl numbers). For my watch, it doesnāt need even a soft reset to fix this. Just power off, back on and sync again with suunto app and after that the metrics are correct also in the watch. Still the problem comes back, metrics are correct in the app but after a while not anymore in the watch (unless performing this power off and onā¦).
-
If I understand this correctly, it will be fixed in Novemberās update. Training metrics are reset at midnight and need an app sync to be available again, but with next update the watch will remember these values while waiting for the updates.
-
@isazi I am on day 3 with my SR. And again, the new TSB value is not synchronised to the watch (app TSB 1, watch TSB 6). On the watch I still see yesterdayās TSB value (which was 6). This also applies to CTL. To me it seems the updated values are not synced at all to the watch in the morning. It doesnāt matter how often I trigger a sync in the app. I donāt think that the problem is, that the watch doesnāt remember the training stats. Thatās what the SR currently does. Itās not updating, thatās the problem. At least thatās the beahvior I see.
My guess is, that the newly calculated training metrics are only sent to the watch after a workout, a soft reset or if I turn the watch off and on. I will skip the soft reset today and test this with a nice long roller skiing session

@wmichi same Problem with my watch. No automatic Refresh the values after many times synch. ONLY reboot solved actually the Problem. Seems like new watch with old Firmware hope for fast fix it with coming Update
