How does Your Vertical looks afer few weeks/months?
-
I wonder how screen look after some time, becouse I never used Sapphire glass watch. Wonder if I should buy and put on it 9h glass or something, or it is not worth? I use it everyday + in work and its sometimes so easy to catch a scratch on less durable material. My old watches (normal one) catched scratch so fast.

@Tami999 I had some minor scratches on the bezel of my S9B, S9P and SV. You have to look very carefull to notice. I never had a scratch on the glass of those watches.

@Tami999 : same as @surfboomerang : a little sractch too on the bezel, but glass looks perfect. More than 350 hours of exercices, worn h24 7/7, more than 3000km trail running, hiking, moutaineering, moutainbiking, cycling, swimming. Not a single scratch.
Was the same on my A3p, S9B, and my wife’s S9p and S9pp. -
@Tami999 All of my Sunnto watches were scratch free (screen and bezel), with the Vertical I got a ugly scratch on the bezel.

Thanks all. I didnt think that I dont get even small scratch on bezel, its ok. Mostly care about screen, how durable it is. Thanks!

Mine looks like it’s barely been used, which is the exact opposite of what it’s been through the past 4 months. I promise you, you don’t need a screen protector.

@Tami999 Physicist here… Sapphire hardness is 9 on Mohs scale. There are very few things that can practically scratch that… The best tempered glass protector with additional fancy coating will have Mohs hardness less than 7. Despite fancy “9H” marketing bullshit, mind that “9H” is not equivalent to Mohs hardness 9 (even though screen protector manufacturers make persistent efforts to convince you that it is the same thing… the internet is full of this confusion).

@inkognito Yes i know that about 9h. But it’s cheap compared to watch. And easy to replace after some weeks when get so many scratches. Worse situation is when scratch screen :D. But thank You for info!:)

@inkognito value of this post cannot be overstated

My SV solar looks much better after using for 5 month than my S9PP titanium which has some scratches on the bezel

I use glass protector (just in case) because sometimes I hit the watch when I climb. I broke 3 protectors for 3 yeays on may old Sunnto 7. There is always dangerous to break the glass when hit it in the sharp stone edge. But the watch is more beautiful without the protector and if you only run, swim or hike I think it is not necessary.
In this regard is there any case/shell protector for SV? I saw that there is for S9 but I can’t find for Vertical.

No scratches at all on my SV Titanium after five months of daily and intensive use. Looks like fresh out of the box.

Looks like the day I took it out of the box on release day. Flawless. Daily use. titanium version.
-
One love mark on the front of the bezel from smashing into some ocean rocks whilst playing w the kids.
-
A small scratch on the bezel because I’m clumsy and hit the walls in my home pretty frequently… But screen is fine

Worn 24/7 since March 2023:
Sapphire holds up super well. Not a single scratch on the glass so far.
