Suunto Wing with glasses, anyone else here has tested them with glasses and can say a few words about this?
Yes, I’ve been using Suunto Wing for several months now, mostly for commutes with bike helmet and glasses, no issues or discomfort.
-
@Egika how’s the sound of Purfree Lite? I have the Purefree BC1, which lacks a lot of bass.
-
@halajos I have not much to compare…
On the bike with wind noise in the ear, there is not much bass to be heard. In a quite environment it is great sound.But from bone conducting earphones, not much bass is to be expected anyway.
Better look for in-ears for a Hifi music experience… -
@Egika the technology has is limitations, I knew what to expect. I’m just wondering if one may be any better, than the other. Especially the Suunto Wing
-
@halajos I think Wings definitely has wider sound range than Haylou Purfree BC01.

@jthomi
I wear shokz aeropex with oakley straight jackets for over 2 years now without any issues. The shokz bands are just so thin and light that don’t interfere with straight arms at all. Curved arms not so sure about due to how the shokz curve around the ear, but again suspect not due to how think and light.
The lightness is amazing and often get so used to them just sitting there forget I even still have them on (especially when turned off and haven’t packed away as too busy - might sit there for 3-4hrs before I remember they are even there.Recently had some minor surgery pretty much where the pad part sits - and didn’t cause any issues wiith sensitivity or the stitches.

Now I have compared the Haylou Purfree Lite (40€) to the Suunto Wing.
Sound: cannot really hear a difference
Comfort: Suunto‘s build is a lot more premium and also is more water proof
Microphone: Not on a bike, in house my partner on the other end of the phone heard no difference. They are both slightly worse than Shokz OpenComm with their extended mic.
Accessories and features: Suunto a clear winner here with charging dock, LED lights and gesture control (right now only 3 gestures)Btw: the switch-on and switch-off sounds are exactly the same. So I think it is safe to say, that Haylou has designed the Wing and their tech went in there.
Have not tried the medium range Haylou BC01 yet - they should offer great value sitting in the middle between Suunto Wing and Purfree Lite.

Well, I am happy to know that I can die in peace with my openrun
-
I had the Aftershokz aeroplex ( previous name for openruns) and the Wings do sound better to me, clearer sound and more volume in the max setting, adding the red lights, the head movement control, the power bank,the integration with the SA, it has new thinking it was worth the upgrade. Happy SW customer here

Got my Wing yesterday and went for a ride today, tested it with various glasses yesterday and what can I say, its almost not noticeable with glasses.
-
@jthomi Agree with you, wore mine yesterday with Sunglasses and I did not know the Wing was there…except I could hear a podcast.
