Add Music Storage. (Suunto 9 Peak)

I have recently bought a Suunto 9 Peak Sports Watch, and was very surprised / disappointed it is not capable of storing music.
I realise I could have done more research, but when the Suunto product page shows a screen shot of a media player with a song title, and states ‘Train with your favourite music…’, I made the logical assumption that the watch was a media player; rather than simply a remote for 3rd party media player.

Both my ‘budget’ Huawei GT2e Sport Watch, and my son’s very cheap ‘Alibaba’ sports watch store music and play. It’s seems almost pointless to have controls for music on the watch, without having on board music storage.
I guess I’m back in the 90s, having to lug around a separate media player if I want to listen to music while running/exercising?

Never the less, no music player is reason enough for me not to want to use this watch. I used the watch once, and now it has not moved from my desk in over 3 months. I have reverted back to my cheap Huawei; which does have music storage.
I do feel the advertising is quite misleading; almost false. ‘Train with your favourite music…’, Basically the watch is simply a remote control for a 3rd party music player. If I wanted to carry my phone when I was running I could simply down load a $5 fitness app. Maybe I could be one of the plonkers who run around with their phone strapped to their arms - no thanks.
Shame, as I have a Suunto Dive watch/computer, and am quite happy with it.
Interesting you state you still love Suunto after 3 failures in a little over 2 years. I would say that’s nothing to do with bad luck.

@MWR-NZ Well, I agree that music stored in watch would be great. On the other hand, I also think that Suunto targets mostly audience from which only very minority would use that… There was Suunto 7 with offline music though, but that watch was very specific and perhaps the least-Suunto of all Suuntos… Who knows what comes in the future…
When it comes to my “bad luck”, I just checked my overall summary with Suunto. Over 2700 hours of activities, over 20’000 km of recorded distance. All that with three hardware failures which 99% of users never faced. And, noteworthy, two of them were solved within 2 weeks. That’s not that bad, is it?

HI, Thanks for your reply.We could go around in circles here, but it seems the fact that Suunto’s marketing page for the S9P acknowledges there is market demand here.
*‘Train with your favourite music…When in need for that extra boost of energy, just select your favorite music, control it with your watch and start the workout.’*This is no mention of needing a 3rd party music player on the page.
The problem is you cannot train to your favourite music with this watch without a 3rd party music player. To me this is a mis-representation, especially as this was a major reason for choosing this watch. My fault for not reading the small print… So I have made a feature request.
Go to the gym; or for a run. A large portion are listening to music… And personally my phone is not an extension of my hand. (I see the Australian Govt has recently formally recognised ‘nomophobia’ as a genuine public health issue.)
I will note also I do see some very specific features for a very narrow field of users added to Suunto watches…

The watch does not even have a speaker built in.
Listening to music played from the piezo buzzer would be a rather special experience… -
