@matus69 I had a Spartan too, and I realised pretty quickly that it was out of support; around the same time as you. I quickly sold it on, and upgraded to a 9, which served me really well for years. I’m currently on a Peak, which is on the same firmware cycle as the 9; and got a recent update, but nothing ground-breaking. That said, I’m still very happy with the firmware, and the app itself makes it so much better. As for a commitment; well, I like that Suunto survey us users, and we do see significant upgrades (at least in the app), but you’ll never get that commitment from a company who’s motivation is profit. Profit means new and shiny things for people to buy. That said, Suunto’s product cycle is longer than the competition. Vertical and Peak Pro are Suunto’s favourite children, and you’ll get plenty of years out of them.

I bought an “used” suunto vertical one month ago mainly for running and hiking: never had any issue, amazing battery life perfect gps and great maps, I had
- a previous suunto 7 (worst suunto watch from my pov for a standard suunto user, is a smartwatchnot a sport watch)
- and an ambit 3 vertical (perfect watch at that time also).

And I see, it has some “birth” problems as with Spartan. And I see promises, that this new line will be improving for years, and that is has great capabilities - as with Spartan.Will the enthusiasm and support also last under 3 years as with Spartan? What do you think?
As I can see in this forum also some employees of Suunto - my question to you: do you think that Suunto can publicly promise, that Vertical will be supported for at least 5 years?

Where have you seen any promise?
Don’t want to sound rude about suunto, but honestly, as their story speaks for them…it will depend on their resources and the hardware (like other brands). And then it is about your expectations.
Vertical is, on my view the 4th turn on suunto: first were the ambits, then the spartan, then the s9p, then the vertical. On my side and my expectation the updates on the spartans and s9p were not super duper and the support on the ambits neither. But that is due to my expectations. And it is a non ending discussion because everyone’s expectation is different and specially for an enterprise that has low resources and needs to earn money.
I hope that now with the vertical suunto has the resources and the hardware to make more and better updates. And from what you read on the forum, it seems that cool things are about to come. -
@André-Faria If you purchased the Spartan Ultra when released as I did, I would argue the updates were super-duper. The functionality of the watch after the final update was drastically different than the watch when first released, and similar in function to the initial releases of the S9.

I gave Suunto last chance and purchased it. So far so good.

First question - I 'd like to have the watch most of the time in no disturb mode. However after certain time it goes from no disturb to standard mode, without touching it.
What can I do to have it in no disturb until I change it? Thanks. -

deactivate auto DND and activate it manually (auto DND is related to sleep times and to be found in sleep widget settings)
