[Bug] blank sport selection

It shows like this in 10% of time for me, I would have to guess what it is
-
@Kai-Liu an old and known bug, which hasn’t been fixed (if ever).
-
It’s not only a known issue, it’s a known issue from S9PP at least Feb 2023.

How hard can it be to fix such a nasty bug, Suunto? Multisport activity is a guessing game. It was one of the reasons I sold my SV.

Come on it’s not a serious bug, look the proof from our Suunto tester!

@Simon I suspect the slow release cycle is because of the vacation season. You see, in Finland all employers and companies respect people’s lawful right to go on vacation. The most popular vacation slot is four weeks starting from Midsummer fest (June the 24th). So practically yes, it may be hard to release fixes with just a skeleton crew.
The world has gotten used to weekly or monthly smartphone app releases from huge multinational corporations and that’s not how it works with small companies.
Now I am getting nostalgic: I used to be one of the quality managers for Nokia back in the days of Symbian and Windows Phone operating systems. I was responsible of the requirement implementaion statistics and bug reporting statistics, which were being used by management to track the implemented features, reported bugs and bug corrections. When the open bugs curve was getting low enough the management always had to make an educated decision of releasing or postponing, considering the severity and amount of open errors. I especially remember Nokia Lumia phone once getting in the front page of the Finnish newspapers because of some fatal bug. The headlines screamed “A bug found in Lumia”. A bug… yeah right! Being the statistics man I knew that there had already been approximately 50000 bug reports for that line of smartphones. I am mentioning this just to give some perspective. Some of you may think now that Nokia quality was shit back then, that’s true, but in Nokia’s defense I will reveal that Microsoft never let us see their operating system bug reports. So Nokia smartphones were taking bad publicity also from Microsoft’s errors.
What I am trying to say is that these fancy little devices are really high-tech and they need constantly more and more features to stay competitive. It is really no use to scream in forums why my bug is not being fixed immediately. Suunto probably has a certain process of prioritizing the bug reports and the product owners are walking on thin line about releasing, just like back in my Nokia days.
Looking at the bright side; Finland seems to be waking up again after the vacation season.

@BrunoH Thanks for putting these thoughts down. Good realistic perspective. Cheers.
