vertical crash

Good morning, yesterday I wanted to test the timer, I set it to 1 minute, when it finished and the completion alarm sounded, the screen went black, no button worked, I had to do a soft reset, I sent the logs instantly. It is a pity that in such basic things the clock fails.
Another question, is there a way to disable the touchscreen? since if one activates the watch in the rain, it goes crazy, each drop activates the screen, not allowing it to lock, or if there is a way to manually lock the buttons, and I do not mean during activity, but in daily tasks.thank you so much

Button and screen lock
While recording an exercise you can lock the buttons by keeping the lower button pressed and then select Lock. Once locked, you cannot perform any action that requires button interaction (create laps, pause/end exercise etc.), but it is possible to scroll the display views and you can turn on the backlight with any button press if the backlight is in automatic mode.To unlock everything, keep the lower button pressed again.
When you are not recording an exercise, the screen locks and dims after one minute of inactivity. To activate the screen, press any button.
The screen also goes to sleep (blank) after a period of inactivity. Any movement turns the screen on again.
