Suunto Beta Release for Suunto 9 Peak Pro, Suunto 9 Peak, Suunto 9 Baro, Suunto 9 and Suunto 5 Peak

@jthomi Same with my 9pp. Also, for me the lag seems to be still in place. Initially, after I updated my watch the lag when starting an activity seemed less annoying for me but eventually, lag in its full beauty came back. A friend here in the forum suggested to me to factory reset the watch and that would solve it. I haven’t done it yet cause I don’t have the time to deal with factory resets.
-
@Highlands it’s another beta after all…

You should be a little bit positive, vertical has the missing name bug as well at least your S9PP has the same user experience as vertical

Do anyone have a problem with battery duration after latest firmware? Before upgrade, battery lasts cca four and half days and now little but more than 3 days. (S9).Thx.
-
@Djordje-S I do not know your configuration but if you had active raise to wake backlight only for activities with the new firmware it stays active in all situations, even in normal mode, so this could be the cause. With a S9B I disabled it and I have the same battery life than before, or at least I haven’nt noticed more battery consumption.
-
@cosme-costa thx.raise to wake is active ut it was active as well with previous fw veraion.
-
@Djordje-S Yes, an now is brighter so maybe here there is more comsumption and as I have said, if before was active only during activities now is always active, even in watch mode.
-
@jthomi yes haapens to me as well
-
@cosme-costa that was my assumption as well initially but did nit expect that it will consume that much.
-
I have limited rise to wake to a dim light with this update and my feeling is that the battery lasts longer now (9PP).
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel We are all beta testers now…
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel did that already.Set it on Low and for now I do have a feeling that it lasts longer but will see
-
@Djordje-S My S9 usually consumed ~15% per day (with HR and notifications on, low backlight, no Raise to wake, no Standby backlight). Now (after several calibration cycles) it is ~20%. It definitely feels like an increase… Battery consumption during night seems the same as before, so I would really blame the newly increased low backlight level (during notifications or any other interaction with the watch) in my case…

Damn, are you able to identify your watch is S9PP or s9p ?
-
@zhang965 Mine is 9 peak pro.
-
@Highlands you want to beta test, yeah, you want to? Ok, we’ll make everybody a beta tester now, that’ll show you!
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel Yeah, they learn fast the old Garmin tricks.

Hey guys, has any of you figured out mermaiding and snorkeling? What’s the difference? Is Mermaiding about the dives mainly? And the snorkeling is about diving too but the distance gets measured as well?

That’s basically how I understand it and what the manual says.
Basically I’ve been using Mermaiding weekly at my friend’s pool because it’s shorter than the minimum pool swimming length and GPS fix is not great. At least I can capture my subsurface dives well lol

Isn’t mermaid8ng snorkling with a monofin?
