Map overview

Is there a map showing the map sections. For example, I cannot find which part of germany to download for winterberg to have on my watch.
-
@rd_grnckx I think it would be really useful too, and Suunto is aware that while the current download interface is good, it could be improved further.

voted +1000 if i could : i need part of spain for a trek, which name it has in SA, i don’t know
and i would add : a global map of all maps downloaded, to see where there are lacks.

@Mff73 I have heard that further improvement of the map download and management UI is being discussed, and gladly it should just require changes to the app, so we do not need to wait for firmware updates.

@Mff73 are you looking for something in North Center of Spain? Can I help you?

thank you
i managed smartly to look at another map with region’s name written and make the parallel with SA ones. Clever, isn’t it ?@isazi ,
I am pretty sure we are not discovering all those things but the more this watch is used by lots of people (more than all testers) the more perfect use cases will be defined and Suunto decide how to handle them with their touch.
Looks “logic” that SuuntoApp could manage this . Seeing how it may be done, list of map is available, “”“”“just”“”“” need to display all of them on a global map, and enable click on map to select a new one.
Let’s go (android) devs -
I‘m just wondering because you can see the map sections when you chose your region… what‘s wrong with this? And we all had geographics at school…
-
@SuperFlo75
adventure means going where you don’t have learn geographic at school
and yes, each map can be seen separately, but need to click each of them (if you really don’t know the name of the portion you need) to see which one is the one you need.Other idea : you import a route, SA suggest you to download the map(s) needed for this route if you don’t already have it.
