Delivery delays?

@altcmd According to Suunto’s website the Vertical is in stock. Some have a delivery time of appr. two weeks but they’re in stock.
Why don’t you order through Suunto directly? -

@Egika I have a couple of time. They keep saying that Suunto is delaying delivery. Seems that Suunto is pushing own sales first and delaying delivery to some retail partners.

@altcmd Some models are available as 1-day-shipment on amazon(.de), don’t know about other countries.

maybe, who knows, it could be a marketing strategy.
That said, there’s nothing we can do about this.
But you, as a customer, can cancel the order and buy directly from Suunto if you can’t wait -

@sartoric as for marketing, it wouldn’t be a first. I recently got a coffee machine from la Marzocco where lead time directly from manufacturer was at 2 weeks and from retailer was 3 months. Retailer said to order directly as the manufacturer is encouraging that.

@altcmd I’m in the same situation. Made the mistake of ‘Pre’ - ordering from Amazon Canada as they were available the day before launch (May 8), website was clear it would be shipped May 16, and delivery was supposed to be today. It hasn’t even shipped yet. Amazon now says they are out of stock and have no idea when they will get more, and cannot explain why I didn’t get one (lots of from customers service).
Maybe the Vertical was just more popular than Suunto imagined, and they sold out on pre-orders directly from Finland, so couldnt fulfil retailer orders?

@mikekoski490 Hard to tell but of course makes business sense to prioritise your own sales channel if that was the case. But I find this fashion of product launch quite annoying.

I’ve ordered my Vertical Titanium black yesterday evening. Just at the moment i’ve got the mail about the shipment. Just wondering, because Suunto is talking about 2 weeks time for delivery.
Seems like i’m back in Suunto fan club tomorrow…
