Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
Hi, I am wondering if s9pp gets the new weather widget presented at Suunto Vertical
-
@rooldaa it will, it should happen next week.
-
@isazi Any more new things coming to S9PP? Tnx
-
@Dušan-Ković plenty, but I lost track of them, so let’s wait for the official announce on release day. Everything that is on the Vertical and does not require new hardware, will end up in the S9PP. Except the new watch face, that at least for now is Vertical only.
-
@isazi Thank you!
-
@isazi Aside for obvious, more storage memory, bigger battery, size, solar, dual band, display, etc are there any HW differences from S9PP to Vertical? Cpu, ram, HR sensor, baro sensor, etc?
-
@Dušan-Ković HR sensor should be the same, or a minor update of the same LifeQ sensor, CPU and RAM may be better (do not remember the exact model, but I think it is better), baro I think it’s the same, but the “baro hole” design is different, more resilient to water.

A lot of the internals are new with Vertical:
New Display
New Battery
New Bluetooth chip
Dual band GPS (L1+L5)
New processor
New accelerometer + gyroscope sensor
New magnetometer sensor
Improved OHR sensor -
I wonder, since there are 3 bandwidth for GPS available, are there any consumer chips that facilitate all three? Doesn’t seem to be needed anyhow, but interesting still.

@Mi_chael S9PP will get segments.
-
Yes for sure.
I had them on the release day but few weeks later they gone. -
@isazi the real question is: Is there still BZZZZZZZZZZ or a bzzzzzzzzz?
-
@Mi_chael they needed fixing, and I know they work on the new firmware.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel
I think I know what you’re getting at
I hazard a guess and bet that the advantage of the felt vibration is more important than reducing the rattle. -
-
@freeheeler while I’d like it tweaked (or simply a switch like for backlight intensity), I also suspect it might be another “keep moving to see direction” thing
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel
I think it’s a bit different. when there’s no compass, there’s no direction information
vibration intensity is a balance between noticeable vibration (that was requested, and let’s be honest is really useful during an activity) and rattling noise, that I must admit could get used to -

The lack of compass wasn’t a problem. The nag was
But I have my fingers crossed that tweaks will come eventually - not only new features, which I’ve heard, are awesome!
