Suunto 9 Peak Pro?

Is it possible to use two Suunto plus apps simultaneously during an activity?
-
@skifun
unfortunately no, but it is on my wishlist, too -

Please keep calm, we don’t want s9pp get the reboot issue too soon.

@skifun I totally agree on battery life. I don’t even think about the battery charge status on the watch day to day. On your blood oxygen, mine is usually spot on for overnight readings. If it’s off though I’ll try to update it during the day and find keeping still and putting gentle pressure down on the watch against my wrist, gets the fastest most accurate reading (also did this with COROS and Garmin).

When the backlight of the display on white background is on there is some kind of a blackish tint on the display after 15 minutes till 40 minutes. I don’t know whether you can see it on the pic but actually on the pic doesn’t look like as bad as it is. Is this normal for this display?
-
@skifun Mine has the same thing on the display. I think its related to the display area and where the buttons are. I was thinking of reaching out to Suunto as you have stated, it’s hard to capture as it’s so subtle.
-
@skifun same here… I guess I never really have a bright background watchface that it’s noticeable but it’s there at the down arrow
-
@Umer-Javed I think it’s the MIP’s backlight nature, it depends of where the backlight source is coming from. I always notice this behavior with all these kind of display.
-
For me, what I see on my Suunto is totally not ok.
Here’s a pic of my 7X with 100% brightness of the backlight for the pic’s sake. I use it at 5% brightness when the backlight is turned on. I see no problem on 7X. -
And no, this black tint on the watch is not normal, because I got this reply from the support. Already did twice the soft reset bit no joy whatsoever. Tonight I’ll try the hard reset and if it doesn’t solve it, the watch goes back by the end of the week.
-
@skifun I don’t know, I have the same “black tint” on my S9PP. I guess it is just a way it is. It doesn’t have any effect on functionality of the watch so I don’t care about it. But I understand that it’s important for you.
-
@skifun Would you happen to have a picture when it’s dark around, for comparison’s sake?
-
@Spree I’ll provide you with one tonight when it’s dark.

@gambacorta
Interesting, I got a similar problem, I charged my watch and few hours laters, when I grabbed it to use it, it was “dead”. Nothing could wake it.I charged my d S9B quickly, prepared myself for the run and then I saw the S9PP was functioning.
Let’s see if the problem appear again…

@skifun
Yeah, the battery life is the real selling point IMO. It would be hard to go back to a watch with a 1week autonomy. -
This is normal its to prevent backlight bleed.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thanks for chipping in. I really like the device and I’m unwilling to return it. Even if I return it, I think I’ll order another unit. So, should I return it or keep it? That’s the follow-up from the support when I replied that the watch is still within the return window:
-
@skifun Let me check
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thanks, Dimi. Support told me today, as you mentioned above in the thread, that this display is normal. I’m keeping the watch, so I won’t be returning it and then order a new one and end up with the same display. Thank you very much and have a nice one.
