Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
-
As I already said I like the watch. One of the things that I bloody hate is the lack of two more buttons.
-
Sunday evening: a weekly report on the watch. Nice function, I like it.
-
@skifun Do you really need the five buttons?
I can understand that without touchscreen (F6 and Forerunners) but with touchscreen…How is the comparison with F7X?
-
Coming from S5: Three buttons are fine. There’s whole left side of the watch to support the thumb when operating buttons on the right. Good design.
What I miss however is the ability to cycle screens to the left. Being able to cycle only to right is super annoying, especially when I want to go 1 right to check the navigation and then 1 left to get back to data screen.
-
@jjpaz Yes, I do. The touch for me is only good when I use the maps on my F7X. That’s my second day with the Suunto, so it’s way too early for comparisons. For me the F7X is the better device.

273 steps while I’ve been asleep? Awesome , I had no idea I was a sleepwalker

Saturday I put the watch in charge (it was at 40% but I needed more autonomy) but when I went to put it on the screen was all black, as if it were off, I tried to hold down the upper button for 12 and more seconds but nothing, he’s still dead, after contacting assistance

Send it back to Suunto support for repair.
If you keep it as is, congratulations, you get a true all black, all black edition.

@Jugger
very strange. yes, please try a soft reset and keep us updated.Soft reset has no effect. Few times a got normal jingle but long beep came back. Only in indoor sport. Also 10 sec loading time after mid button press didn’t go anywhere. Maybe it’s time for factory reset.
-
@gambacorta if you are in contact with support already, follow their advice.
-
@isazi yes thanks, I have already prepared the package for shipping
-
@Jugger
I would avoid factory reset if it is the long beep “only”, and no other issue.
interesting thing is that my wifes pro did the long beep only once at the first trial and worked fine with every next trial.
is it standard or customized sport mode? maybe try to remove it and use a “new” one? -
@freeheeler I am having the “long beep” at the beginning of the workout every time I am using the weight training or circuit training with the SuuntoPlus custom guide on. So it is somehow related to indoor workouts it seems. And happens to a lot of people:)
-
@freeheeler I use standard modes in indoor. I’ll make new with my own setting and try that.
Ok, I won’t do factory reset as everything is working well. Also that 10 sec time is recorded so no worries. -
@gambacorta Hi, I had the same problem with my 9PP two weeks ago. After sending it to Suunto support, I got a replacement watch today…
-
@Zdeněk-Hruška I have sounds deactivated in my S9P but vibration is activated.
In my indoor activities (deactivated GPS) my watch also makes a long vibration before starting (preactivity screen) or just after the start. It’s similar to the “GPS locked” vibration before an outdoors activity so I’m suspecting if the watch is syncing GPS altough is deactivated in the activity… -
After weeks of cloudy weather,
I got a very bad gps track with a Sunny day. -
@gerold thanks, I sent it yesterday, I’m waiting
-
The watch came with 83% battery on 18/02. Now it shows 32% battery with total gps activities for nine hours - starting on 18/02 have done, including today, outdoor activities in performance mode, every day, incl. today. Everything is on, except pulse-ox (it provides unrealistic values anyway - with 84% saturation I wonder how I’m still alive).
For such a microscopic watch, the battery life is freaking amazing. Battery-wise, kudos. What do you think, guys?
