Suunto 9 Peak Pro?

Did my first intervals workout with S9PP, and faced issues with my custom lap table missing interval avg power and interval avg pace, see attached screen configuration and photo of the issue. Executed workout via a TP guide with power targets and STRYD, BTW this was okay with S9P.

@TrailEyes The Fenix āā7 is the first Garmin Iāve tested in 10 years. Compared to a Vertix 2, the distance at Garmin was always longer. Of course, the S9PP needs more tests, a single unit has no meaningfulness.
-
@Mff73 Oh, thatās interesting!! Presumably, the magnet will be weaker, which is a great plus for me. Because the strong magnet for my S9P often decalibrates the compass. Maybe that issue will occur less with the new charger.
-
@freeheeler The bigger number of Likes for your post seems to confirm this thought I do hope (and guess) that new S9Ps will be delivered with the new charger, at least. Or will they stop producing the S9Pā¦?

The run today S9PP 8.06km Fenix āā7x 8.11km and Vertix 2 7.91km. I also have to say that the Suunto shows most precisely where I actually ran on the map, the Coros the worst.

Just finished trail run ~22km. New Ui readability is great! Better fonts, faster switching between screens. I think that gps track was more precise than S9P or B. I am really pleased. The only thing that will need some getting used to is new pause/end screen. I got used to end activities with top and bottom button. All in all Iām really pleased

I did a 20k run with the S9PP, it was not faster. It was even a lillte bit slower.
I donāt spend 650ā¬ to be slower.
Iām asking for a refund.

Oh no, do you have any video to show how slow it is?
-
@zhang965 Sadly no, the race was over since one hour when I arrived at the finish line.

I donāt get you now, what do you mean by slow?

@wakarimasen
normally new gadgets make you 10% faster ā¦at least it feels like -
@freeheeler One trick I use on my speed days is to wear the Orange mount for my Stryd sensor.
-
@freeheeler thatās because your wallet is lighter
-
After todayās run, Iāve had a message with a green background and a check mark saying : āMarche Ć©talonnĆ©eā.
Does anyone know what this means?
From a quick search, it seems related to FusedTrack and the Endurance mode on S9 models.
(Sorry if Iām being too curious :D)

@taziden
did you use running activity for the first time today? I think the watch does that when you first use activity by feet -
Yes, if used first time for running it could be stride length calibration.
-
@freeheeler it was the second time.

Like the new UI very much!
There is no disadvantage to larger S9B Display!
Same size of numbers and better readability!
Well done! What I really do not like is OHR!
Highly inaccurate for me personally.
First hike today with S9B and smart sensor on the other wrist.
I couldnāt feel any improvement from S9P.
Little disappointing.Again this is really depending for sure on personal individual circumstances.
I made superior OHR experiences with 945LTE.
So it is possible.
There has to be some thing on all Suunto OHRs what disqualifies OHR of watch for certain personsā¦
Is it missing, failing calibration, depth of measurements, ā¦ why watch works not for all?Edit: Interesting thing is that running, cycling was very good S9P. But hiking mountaineering very bad. Same on S9PP for now. Also without poles. Maybe hiking cadence lock? It could also be something that has to do with hiking movementā¦
Maybe I hope there will be some SW improvementā¦
