@isazi do you know if the values are somehow similar to those given by stryd or like shifted by 50W or something like garmin?
Very similar to Stryd NOT like Garmin!

Your thoughts on wrist power while power walking on S9PP?
What is useful response time for hill repeats?Response time is excellent. So far my only issue max watts on hard trail hill repeats is a bit lower with 9 Pro than Stryd. We are still testing this so it is likely to improve. I can live with this and tweak a bit my watt zones at the high end if necessary but it won’t be much. After final firmware release I will either sell my Stryd or likely it will rest in a box. I won’t use it unless I am testing

@mountainChris I believe it is only for running/trail running sports mode.
Is it possible to show both power data (wrist and stryd) on same activity?
If you use the S+ app, yes but I doubt this will work for fine release. I have a lot of trail running with Stryd and the Pro, the are very close. I can provide graphs if you wish.
Yes please, hill repeats 30s and low cadence steep climbs. I know new stryd is up in Nov, they claim to help reduce lag by 5x. And is there a breakdown of form (gravity fighting and vertical) and fwd motion?

It works very similarly to Stryd so yes, power walking is recorded. Values for endurance running and power hiking on Pro match Stryd well for me. We are still working on wrist power so likely to be even better when release firmware is available. I have not used my Stryd much until this testing and I find I use wrist power much more than I did the Stryd because of being another gadget, battery life, water ingress, etc. of Stryd
Yes, I would get rid of it, when It rains it is completely useless.

@isazi If “dez” is Desfit, he did review the Suunto 9 Peak. I’m not a fan of his channel but I do remember this review: https://youtu.be/q0xYbvZztIA
Oh. I missed this one

Where Can I find the user guide for S9PP?
-
@zhang965 I guess you’ll have it on the website when the watch is actually released

I guess you guess right

I know there is the best, endurance and tour modes for GPS battery. Did they allow user to still make a 4th custom mode with a few settings? that was a nice touch starting with S9…I’m assuming its there if it was in the past…
-
@northeast_trekker custom still there.

DC Rainmaker: This is all great stuff, but keep in mind there’s still a limit of a single Suunto app per workout. So you wouldn’t be able to combine one of these new Suunto apps with something like one of the Suunto guides that does structured workouts.
So I cannot use e.g. Stryd app and a TrainingPeaks Structured workout together?
-
@Dušan-Ković I am curious if those new fonts will also be introduced in older watches. From DC rainmaker --> The thing is, the actual display itself wasn’t bad per se, but rather, Suunto’s previous selection of fonts and UI elements made it feel worse than it needed to be.
-
@trailcafe no. Only 1 Suunto Plus X at each time (where X mean App, or Guide)
Unfortunately, I think it will not come to S9b, S5, S9p, or S5p.

I wear all black and not sure if titanium slate would work or should i go all black. Kinda like more robust look of titanium and not to see every scratch
-
@trailcafe not at the moment, no, but for this special case you can pair Stryd natively and still have it.
It is becoming ever more important to have more than 1 S+ app/guide enabled, or at least one app and one guide. I know it’s not that easy, and not just for resources, there are cases where specific S+ combinations would be conflicting, such as apps and guides all creating laps and interfering with each other, but these are corner cases, and I hope after the launch of the S+ store Suunto will work on having two or more S+ running. -
@krakra first ordered all black. Now changed to slate. The weight difference is noticeable. Had a all black S9P and Ti feels significant lighter. Like also the idea of a pure Ti, not painted… I did not like the shiny polished top of bezel on S9P. On pictures looks like S9PP is different.
