S9P: Error 1403
-
Yesterday I got the same error 1403. It happened after starting the circuit training activity, when I turned on the intervals created in SA. The watch was reset to factory settings.

@lexterm77
@Stas-Varazhbit
do you both have this issue frequently and is there something you think it triggers it? -
I recorded a video of it happening.
-
@Stas-Varazhbit just heard this should improve with next firmware update (coming pretty soon).
-
@isazi Good news! Thanks!
-
@Stas-Varazhbit so I would wait a little bit more, and if that happens after the next update please send logs and a PM to me for further investigation.
-
@isazi ОК! I will try these steps again after the update. But for now, I will not use the intervals from SA, after such failures it takes a long time to adjust the sport modes again.
-
I used S+ burner when it crashed, used structured workout yesterday 90min it did not happen, apparently it is random. I wish I could save sport modes and zones on SA just like structured workouts.

Hello,
Same error for me this morning when I wanted to launch a workout, the watch crash and it took a very long time before she display this error.
This is the second time I have this, 1st time it was in April when launching a workout too.Regards

@Thierry-Forget so the meaning of this error is something like “something very serious happened and I had to hard reset the watch and reinstall a clean version of the firmware”.
Now, I do not know the specifics of what is triggering this (I have never had this happen in over a year on my watch), but let’s wait a little bit more for the new firmware (coming soon) and if it happens again I’ll report it to Suunto for investigation. -
Maybe it exceeded max number of flash writes and when it goes about R/W that block it panics out 1403. It was working since March 29th until few weeks ago started slowing down when saving activities. I hard reset which should fix but it happens again. I will try to reproduce on S5P but so far no luck, seems only happens on S9P.
-
@isazi any ETA for the next update ? Thanks.
-
@Thierry-Forget I guess tomorrow but it’s just a guess, I have 0 actual info and here you’ll find 2 types of people : those who know and can’t/won’t tell, and those who don’t and are just able to guess.
-
@Thierry-Forget October it’s the only thing I can say.
-
Just FYI, i ended up sending mine back (it was a 2x endeavor) because of this error. suunto sent me a new watch.

@Thierry-Forget
Is Firmware issue that fixed with the new release -
@Thierry-Forget I guess on October 25th, when the new watch starts to be shipped
-
@Thierry-Forget I have no idea, as I explained this error is not an error, is the watch saying that something unexpected and serious happened and it had to perform a hard reset by itself. The reason of the unexpected event happening can be hardware or software.
If it is software, it could be fix by the update coming this month. It it is hardware, it will not be fixed. If in doubt, you can always contact support. As I already said I never had this error myself.
