Daily activites don't sync
-
Hi all,
I noticed that since Febuary 4th, my watch doesn’t sync steps, calories etc., and only the exercises I manually record.
I know the activities were recorded on the watch as I monitor them occasionaly, but they’re not visible on the app.
Both app and watch are updated with latest versions.Any idea how to resolve this? Is the a way to recover the last few months?
Thanks

@amitidan with activities not recorded you mean steps, calories, and so on, and not sport activities, right?
-
@isazi Exactly.
Steps, calories etc.
I know they’re recorded as I see them on my watch. They just don’t sync. -
It seems to me that steps/sleep/… are synced when you manually start the sync, otherwise only the activities seem to «autosync», but I don’t know whether that’s the expected behaviour or a bug.

@martin
it syncs when you open the app.
activities sync once the watch goes back to watch mode. -
@amitidan usually uninstall and reinstall the app solves these kind of issues.
-
@freeheeler while that’s true for activities, in my case all the other data (sleep/resources/…) will not auto-update. They are only fetched when I click on the top left watch icon (ios app) to initiate the sync.
So, question : should all this data autoupdate, and on which basis/frequency ? -
@martin
I can imagine that this is the case for iOS… my wife notices also restricted sync between her S7 and iOS -
@isazi If I uninstall the app, what happens to all the data already synced and saved in it?
Will it remain when I reinstall the app?
If not, is there a way to back it up? -
@amitidan
all your data is stored in a database and will be synced back to the app (onto the phone) once you reinstall and login again -
Can someone with more knowledge tell us what is the expected sync process for daily activity (sleep/steps/…) : should it auto-update to the app and at which frequency ?
I can’t find any reference to this in the watch manual, but maybe that’s considered more of an app functionality that a watch one…
I use the IOS beta version of the app.
