New software update for S9P-S9B-S9-S5P-S5 and S3 devices 2.20.28

If you have to restore the connection you get this:
Try to restart the phone / kill the app process
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos For me this screen looks like this:
I have deleted the default entries (I don’t need them). I don’t have the option to restore the connection. Minutes ago I have seen the notification in the app, that I need to reconnect my TP account. I did that (again), but still nothing shows up.
When I go to the settings and connected accounts, under Training Peaks it only says, that my activities are uploaded to TrainingPeaks. No word about Suunto Guides.
-
@wmichi restart the phone please.
-
@wmichi Did a restart (again). Still nothing. When I pull to refresh, only “synchronizing watch” is displayed. For me as a user, it is not clear, if the app is trying to fetch workout data from TP. I think it doesn’t. By the way: I don’t get an error message.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Thanks!!! Look okay here, I will test the actual workout in the afternoon.
Is there any way to tell Suunto App it can use in the watch all the planned TrainingPeaks workouts he found, without me having to toggle one by one?
For the Trail Optimized Vo2Max -
@fluca if you plan workouts in the TP calendar, you do not have to do anything. The day of the workout just start the exercise and the watch will ask you if you want to use that specific workout that it imported from TP.

Tested at lunch with Nolio. Works fine but I had an issue with GPS track and I did not see if there are alerts when we are above or below a zone…

No alerts yet, it has been requested already (and it will hopefully come).

Does anyone know if this TP Suunto Guide stuff is somehow a staged rollout on the side of TrainingPeaks? I tried everything, but for me my planned TP workouts simply don’t show up in SA.
-
@wmichi Did you kill SA and reboot your phone? For me, it worked.
-
@wmichi I have the same problem. Have the latest beta app and had trainingpeaks connected before this update. Got a message of reconnecting trainingpeaks and did so but no workout is transfered to the watch. Can´t see trainingspeaks under Suuntoplus Guides.
No big problem for me because I usually run less complicated intervalls but it would be good to be able to get the specific run for the day into the watch. -
@soojong-moon Yes, removed TP connection, removed SA from second device (iPad), uninstalled SA on phone, restarted phone, restarted watch, reconnected TP. Did this multiple times in different order, but still nothing.
It lists TP as connected service with partner guidance (don’t know the exact english translation):
In TP Suunto is listed unter connected accounts as read/write and timezones are correct. I have scheduled a various test workouts for today (different sports, range/target hr, with duration/distance,…), nothing is displayed in SA.
@Soojong-Moon Could you share a screenshot of your TP connection in SA? (profile-> connected services -> TrainingPeaks? When I go to this screen, there’s only displayed, that my activities are automatically synchronized with TrainingPeaks. There is no information about Suunto Guides.
-
@wmichi could you write me to PM email you use in SA?
-
@wmichi nope. Once you have the watch updated and everything linked, it should work.
I remember having a similar issue in the beginning. Do not exactly remember the steps to get it working.
Please try: unlink TP in SA.
Link again.
Create a new structured workout in TP and see if this syncs then. -
@egika I have tried that too. Doesn’t work.
-
@isazi not good…We also need to be able to pass an interval by pressing the lap button.
Moreover, for the warm-up before a session, it should be possible to set an indefinite time in order to finish it by pressing the lap button and start the training. -
@frederick-rochette you can already do this. Just enable the respective setting in Training Peaks “End step on lap button”. Done
-
@egika do you happen to know, if this also works with intervals.icu? They have the toggle, but it apparently only works with Garmin. I’ll give it a shot later today.
-
@frederick-rochette what @egika said. Just create a workout step that is longer than you need, and shorten it pressing the lap button.
