SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.19.42 January 27, 2022
-
@halajos should be now ok?
-
@egika that’s what I said, it closed to zero. Compared to Garmin Fenix 6 pro, where if you switch on the night SPO reading, it has a significant impact on the battery. Of course, the reading frequency and algorithm are different. If you ask me: it doesn’t make sense to read the SPO too often during sleep. Why so, right?
-
@markytarky exactly. You would not expect SpO2 to change significantly over one night.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos it wasn’t until I changed the phone language to English. With that setting I added the S+ features I need. Then switched back to Hungarian and the S+ features are still there now.
-
@jugger The outdoor watchface has some more issues.
Maybe collect all those issues here: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6618/suunto-9-peak-watchface-issues -
It’s nice to get another update, thanks!
But one thing is beyond me to understand - Suunto still doesn’t support any structured workouts?!! How is this possible in a professional sports watch? Years go by…
I wish to receive SW in the next update.
Best regards -
@aroo7 wish harder!
it might come true then -

And actually I like the Suunto app much more than the Garmin one.
Same here

@patrick-löffler Thanks for sharing. ; )
-
@isazi This sounds very interesting!

Trying to update S9B, but Suunto link (after Suuntolink update) on my PC is a blank white page. Not sure what’s wrong. I guess I’ll have to try again later.
-
Wrong topic, so here again: Until now, here in Germany, SA (IOS) tells me that an update is available and downloaded, but my S9P doesn‘t see it. Has anybody an idea what‘s wrong?
-
@hexa62 There was some kind of problem with update with IOS. They have fixed it and it should install during this night. So load up your watch full and wait until morning.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos any idea when the update will be available for ios-users?
-
@hexa62 I got the push on iOS last night. Denver USA
-
Was up in the hills yesterday, great to see the elevation going up in single units now rather than 3 or 4 at a time

@miniforklift Ditto this! I ran a trail race today that has 2514’ of gain and just a hair over 10.25 miles in length (per official government mapping). After the firmware update, my 9 Baro measured 2603’ and 10.55, so pretty close over some brutal twisty, snowy and wind-swept terrain.
Other recent times running this course with my Suunto showed 2335’ and 2300’ of gain over 10.84 and 10.89 miles, respectively. So definitely an improvement! Though I forgot to calibrate my compass before the activity, so I wonder if things could’ve been even tighter.
For comparison, my Garmin FR last year at this race measure 2320’ of gain and 9.88 miles.

Hey what’s the deal with the S+ Ghost Runner now? I can select it and turn it on but doesn’t give me any options to select time and distance?
-
@miniforklift never had. You select target (distance or duration) and it uses that. The target is in the activity menu (scroll down from activity start menu).
