So I added 10+ dives, and ~20 other activities (yoga, hiking, skiing). For diving with 5mm wetsuit: thought of an extra soft cord to help with watch strap. After a while, no problem straping watch onto suit with last hole. Wearing watch on the right hand and POD on the right side solved disconnect issues. Not a single disconnect during dives. No decompression time with default gradient was on par with other diving computers in a group. Default non removable alerts are a bit annoying, but can be excussed for safety. For non diving activities: GPS works well, even under a coat. Problems: Diving map (3D) is not recorded correctly if you do not wait for GPS signal before the dive. Scrolling between maps in an updated android app - crashes it or makes app unresponsive. Can not end a dive manually. Tried to extend auto dive end (dove in cenotes, which means some surface time in a cavern), with default 5min, got my dive split into 2 parts. Set it to 10mins and did not find a way to stop the dive manually, which means POD alerts already dissasembling the gear outside the dive time (other computers also split the dive and probably everybody needs to live with this). Battery is not a full week lasting (not gonna try to dive with less than 30%) if using for diving and smart phone features, so would not go on a journey without a charger (not an issue, but a thing to know). ps. Brightness was almost always on lowest setting, except for AOD autobrightness.

Tide information appears to have been a thing, or at least a consideration early on in the watches development, as you can see here: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/10899/suunto-ocean-general-discussion/199

@ogillot sure thing, in France we can go to 60 meters on air. I don’t, I stay between 30 & 40 mètres with the EON CORE.

And another update Unit lasted 2 months before the same fault reoccurred. Back to a dead ocean. Battery was around 30% when it died so hoping when it drains completely it’ll restore. Current an over priced paperweight. For anyone considering the Ocean please save your money and go for Garmin.

@dotcom Thanks for the help. I was not aware that the download first needed to happen on the app. All is good now.

Hello! If anyone still has doubts, I asked Suunto directly at the diving forum in Paris three days ago: the Nautic S is a “castrated” version of the Ocean, and the software for diving (and other Nautic S activities) will be exactly the same on the Ocean. After that, it’s a question of whether we trust the marketing department or not ^^'. Oh ! I also have been told exactly what cosme.costa said : firmwares won’t be released quickly on those watches because of the diving activity… I noticed that all functions described in the Nautic S manual are not delivered yet : no tide widget nor diving display customization in the current Nautic S firmware.

Works great - only watch vibrates on notification/call.

@prakalejas totally agree, it can even be 3d printed Design is really easy to make and will cost like 2-3$ per charger (printing material, magnets and usb c to wire adapters When I see the price of the oem charger for race 2 vertical 2 I found it is really overpriced, 30$ sounds a much more fair price to me I understand that a company must earn money but the price of the charger does not seems fair to me especially when I compare to their watch price policy that is really really good

Worked it out, it’s necessary to actually update iOS to version 26.1 to fix the issue. I saw the prompt saying the issue was resolved but did not realize I wasn’t on the latest version of iOS. Watch sync is working now. @Mads-Hintz-Madsen no VPN here.

I went diving again today and noticed after the dive that the average depth on Ocean and in the app matched. From what I saw, it even adjusted the average depth retroactively. So now it should be correct Ocean <-> app. I am using the latest Android app version (V6.4.7 / 10 November 2025).

@chandan There also needs to be a facility to edit the start/stop sleep time - a slow morning in bed registers as an extra 30-60+ minutes of sleep when the heart rate was no longer aligned with the sleeping heart rate pattern.

I was looking for dive computer with recreational range (up to 60m). 40m limit of some other watches is a deal breaker, since even recreational dives can go a bit deeper and riding on lockdown limit is no fun at all. But not really wanted a dedicated one, which would just not be used 95% of a year. I also wanted Air Integration and decent battery without breaking the bank. Scuba Pro galilleo 3, mares and similar watches are just too dumb outside diving, garmin is way too expensive. Suunto gave a decent option in between. So far - a bit mixed feelings, but it growing on me. At least it’s very fast, good display and good battery and actually good for basic stuff outside diving. Somehow controls and menus were super easy to understand. Hardware looks good, I just wish suunto and partners would push a bit harder on software development - not in quantity, but quality.

Since I had same problem, which drove me crazy, I found a solution and a possible problem that caused this, will share my thoughts, maybe it will help somebody: AOD is disabled, when watch is in Do Not Disturb mode. There are two ways to trigger it: using manual switch in widgets (swipe up -> control panel -> DND) or using Settings -> Sleep -> Auto DND. Switching on using settings Auto DND by time turns on DND and DOES NOT TURN IT OFF, when you toggle Auto DND off. You need to manually disable DND using widgets -> control panel -> DND. Hope this helps somebody, till it is fixed.

@Brad_Olwin I am sorry if I was too rude, also I was not aware that only volonteers testers was handling this forum. The disappointed messages I sent was to Suunto and definitly not too you guys. Every answer I get from you is really appreciated even if they are not what I was expecting. I am the kind of guy to watch all kind of tests / videos/ guide about what I buy and I am expecting excellences. The thing is that those days it is almost impossible to have an accurate and non commercial vision of a product. Now I feel that I was mislead / cheat with my Suunto Ocean. I probably expect too much… But understand that with a more basic watch from G, I had many more features regarding my running expérience. Again sorry that my messages was rude but don’t take it personnally, they are all directed to Suunto internal team development. We are lucky to have you guys.

Pray it will be corrected in the next update, within a year. It is easier to say it is just mistake in the user manual.
