@margusl Found it easy, no real issues. Figuring out the training and how it works was a bit more complex, but so much more powerful than training peaks, and was fairly easy after watching a couple of good youtube videos and reading Garmins support pages.
Watch transition was pretty easy:
weight - have the F6xPS so weight is only 10g more, so not too bad adjusting, plus pretty much same size as S7.
Screen - while not as brilliant and as wow, the F6 is pretty awesome when its in a bit of light (and gets better the brighter it is), otherwise you can use the backlight to provide enough light to see, however can also set backlight to be activated by wrist tilt. So no impact from that side (colours are just slightly more muted).
Touch - no issues other than when using maps, but am used to it now - though buttons are clunky compared to using touch to pan around and zoom into maps (serious case for F6 to have a touch screen just for map usage). But as normally using routes/TBT directions, seldom need to pan/zoom in, so really isn’t an issue.
SetUp - that was painful figuratively and physically - no option like suunto to use phone app to set up screens etc, and as all the heavy lifting is done by the watch virtually everything has to be set up on the watch, and there is sooo much more to customize, so there are lot and I do mean a lot, lot, lot of button presses to set up customized data screens and fields for walking, running, cycling, pool swimming, SUP, hiking, strength training, cardio, yoga, and open water swimming - but its pretty much a one off. Occasionally I tweak them (huge advantage here as you can tweak while tracking so can quickly add/remove/edit screens, change screen layout, add/remove/edit data fields).
Watch faces - more limited that what wear os provides, but it does have enough customization to give you what you want, and if not there is the IQ connect store which has quite a few options, and failing that there are SDK so you can build/create your own. IQ5 - which I believe they have just stated the F6 will be able to use will allow more of the firstbeat metrics to be included as complications.
The only pity I do miss is being able to press on a complication to launch that complication, however a button press makes it easy to pick up the widgets list (can customize what on and where on list - can go from top or bottom of list depending which button you press) which provide a first glance which you can then drill down into, thus far more quicker to get that sort of detail i.e. stress - can have it as a sperate widget or as part of the health stats widget. First glance shows stress, current level and its status i.e. 48 & low (and its always active so can change as you are looking at it). Going into widget screen 1 shows current level and 4hr graph, next page = overall avg with breakdown of duration for rest, low, med, high; next page = 7 day graph of avg stress, plus provides avg of that 7 day. Pressing the start button on any of these screens can provide additional info/actions - in this case pressing it will suggest a breathwork exercise with you can action to lower your stress. You will also get a stress reminder if you stress remains very high for a long period.
There are hotkeys which you can customize to launch a variety of functions like the control wheel for apps, lock/unlock buttons (or can use autolock), alarms, countdowns etc etc. There are about 7 customizable settings. this I find works better than GA and makes up for not being able to use watch face complications to launch app.
