BUG: Run prediction and lactate threshold missing
-
@Iceman1 lucky you !
-
@freddubai 2 months later…at least 20 runs later…a 10km race, IM70.3 and 2 half-marathons included…still no run prediction or lactate threshold. My old 9PP which I gave to my daughter gave her the predictions and lactate threshold after a few runs…One soft reset about 3 weeks ago…still no luck…
-
@freddubai Same here
-
Me to
-
Yep, mine’s gone again…….
-
Mine seems to be gone for ever. The latest update killed this feature for me. Can only hope Suunto will make it work again in the next update.
What concerns me the most is that Suunto does not release a quick fix when they add an severe bug to their products in a software update. That is not a proper way to handle customers or to compete with other brands in the market.
And honestly it seems that a broader beta tester group is needed. Software with such serious faults should never had been released!
-
Idem, une vingtaine d’activités entre course a pied et trail pour une moyenne de 2h par activité et toujours pas de seuil lactique.
-
This has never really worked for me, done plenty of runs (>50)
I have run 12k last week for my long run, so I’d assume it should be able to give a prediction for at least 5 and 10k, and extrapolate HM and M times from them. -
i never got a value for lactate threshold and run prediction. after many runs, easy , moderate, long, short, fast. no values. i think in the next update they will address the topic
-
question peut être très bête, pour les algorithmes qui gèrent la définition du seuil lactique, faut il activer le suivi de sommeil ? Je sais, cela a première vue n’a rien a voir mais des fois certaines valeurs sont issues de combinaisons de fonctions…
-
@gilou the vast majority of people here will tell you that sleep tracking is activated but that it doesn’t work any better 🫣
-
in the change log from the newest update they wrote that the running estimate and lactate threshold problems were solved.
i installed the newest software on my race. and i still got no values for both. did more then 80 runs (long, short, fast, slow) before the update and 3 after the update. What are your experiences after the update? do you have any new tipps?
@pavel-samokha do you have any insights or ideas? -
Same new update installed and been on 3 runs since, longest being over an hour. Still no lactate zones.
-
@Sebastian-Wagner-0 as far as I know it should work, but I’m not the best person to ask. Not an official response but I would keep an eye on it for the next few days to be sure
-
@Sebastian-Wagner-0 same here. Did my 3 runs since the update and I run 5-6 times per week…
-
@fleblanc01 updated to new firmware, ran once and all my estimates and lactate threshold appeared… and I must say the estimates are really spot on! Kudos to suunto to finally fix it
-
still no estimate or lactic threshold despite the update and several activities. Another silly question: is it compulsory to enter the feeling? something that wasn’t activated until now.
-
if you don’t get estimates a couple tips I have you can try:
- Be sure your runs have at least 10 min of running in HR Zone 2 or above and good GNSS(GPS) track (normally it is, but just in case).
- We have a nice “HR Zones Duration” S+ app to measure time in HR zones
- Do 3 runs meeting criteria above
- If you did mentioned above and it didn’t work and you use heartrate belt - try with wrist heart rate
If you still don’t get estimates - send logs and let us know. Many issues with estimates were fixed but it could be more which affects some people
- Be sure your runs have at least 10 min of running in HR Zone 2 or above and good GNSS(GPS) track (normally it is, but just in case).
-
Thx for the Infos.
Did the 3 Runs with more then 10min Zone 2 , still no values.
Do the 10min or more Zone 2 have to be 10 min continious Zone 2 in a run or total in the run? And do i have to run the 3 Runs on consecutive days? And why should it make a differente between optical hr from Watch and hr belt for getting values? And then the Values Maybe wrong because of Bad readings from the optical hr in cold weather.
And i am a Little Bit confused, because the Suunto Support Told ne in january that i have to run Zone 3 for 10min plus in 3 Runs.
Which Logs should i send ?
