HRV values last night DIFFERENT in watch and app
-
It is observed that a lot of readings between the watch and the app are different . In my case the TSS and CTL ramp rate are slightly different.
-
@Kostas-Zinelis yes in my case too
-
@GiPFELKiND if the values are not the same the HRV normal Range will also wrong… Good Job Suunto with your new inhouse Algorithm 🤮 what to do now? Buying a WHOOP Band for correct HRV MEASUREMENT what should i do now? Is my wrong HRV range on the watch correct or in the Suunto App?
-
edit: just popped into my mind that you’ve upgraded to the Race, sorry for the confusion
-
My HRV is 15 since I received the SR, Garmin was 45…….
-
@freeheeler hey you yes i have the Race there are suunto’s inhouse Algorithm?
-
@GiPFELKiND i’m sorry but i dont understand ?
55 on SA and in your SR for the past 7 days
57 is the total hrv average.
82 on your Watch is previous night
66 yesterday hrv, 77 today.Where are the differences ??
-
@GiPFELKiND
I don’t have a reference device to compare, but I’ve heard several times that it is pretty accurate.
what I observe with my values is that they match the description like e.g.
too much party = low HRV
good recovery = higher HRV -
@Tieutieu 82 was night from yesterday to today morning but app says me was 77… Why?
-
@GiPFELKiND apps says 77 as « today », not « last night ». Isn’t it ?!
Is there a value for last night in SA when you go to sleep tracking section ? My guess is that it should be 82 ?! -
@Tieutieu
very similar to what I wanted to write just now.
the app shows avg HRV per day, but the watch (and sleep sleep summary show avg HRV for the night. so it depends what you look at.
one value is for the entire sleep, but the other value from 0:00-23:59 -
@Tieutieu yes but HRV measurement is not in daytime… Or? Think HRV measurement is in night and today night 77 ist if i think right yesterday evening to today morning! My watch says for this time 82
-
@GiPFELKiND just look at @freeheeler answer. Can you look at the sleeping section of SA if you find your 82 value for last night ?
My understanding is that there are different values calculated and displayed either in the watch and\or in SA :
Total average hrv => in SA
Past 7 days average => in SA and in the watch
Last night (linked to the sleep hours set in the watch, i guess) => in SA sleep section and in the watch
Today (00h00 to 24h00) => in the watch, and probably in SA in the day diaryI’ll see that when my SV will get HRV when update will be released
-
-
@GiPFELKiND ok agreed that you should have 82 there. can you Check the day diary to see what value you have there ? (If it is displayed)
For now i would likely say that it seems to be a wrong display in sa. -
@GiPFELKiND No idea whats wrong here. Maybe the values are recalculated on the backend or in the app, but something went wrong during sync. So in SA you see a recalculated value and on the watch whatever it measures last night.
It seems that all of the new training and recovery data can have syncing issues.
@freeheeler Oura is definitely not a reference device. But for me Suunto and Oura show the same values. Night after night. And according to manual, HRV is only measures during. At least thats how I understand it. The value also never changes during the day.
-
@Tieutieu In day diary in the watch or in the app? Where i should have a look?
-
@GiPFELKiND for me the values are correct:
and considering a whoop may not help. I wear one and it shows a HRV of 51 for today, which is very close to the 52 of the Race and also the monthly average is the same
-
@GiPFELKiND Go to the calendar section where you have all the activities dots. Choose the day you want to look at : you access to all the activities of the day and when you scroll down, to details of sleep, ressources…and I guess, HRV also
-
@ChrisA Can you please check TSS and CTL ramp rate values too? In my case they are slightly different.
