The battery mode “adapted” has been lost
-
I support the idea of having an Q&A thread
-
@GiPFELKiND
I understand this question as a feature request. I would miss the custom battery, too in the first place.
but what it’s actually good for is setting display timeout and to enable touch.
with the Race the display is in low energy mode when the arm is down while not looking anyway and the way to interact with the watch is a different concept anyway (due to the crown).
hence there is no real reason for custom battery anymore. -
@freeheeler i meen in training mode – not in daily mode
-
@GiPFELKiND
yep, me, too -
as @freeheeler said, the only thing custom battery mode was useful in Race was to enable touch.
And for me the only thing I am missing now is to use the touchscreen to swipe back through the screens in sport mode, and not only advance using the middle button.Yes, this has been lost, but it “by design” as I understand it.
-
@Egika is there a Option to take the Display off in training and goes on if i look on the screen by take the arm Up?
-
@GiPFELKiND it’s like this in map view by default. In data view it’s always on except for Ultra and Tour battery modes.

This is not really accurate as called out by GiPFELKiND .
I use custom on my vertical to turn off OHR as well as timeout the display
-
@stromdiddily Same for me, but the OHR setting is outside the battery mode. In the SV it’s a little buggy/unpredictable.
When I select battery mode Custom (display timeout on, touch off an GPS best) I have to turn off OHR and autolaps etc after I confirmed the custom mode.
Next time everything works as expected, but when I select Performance mode the OHR setting is enabled and stays enabled when I select Custom battery mode again. Sometimes even Autolap is configured out of the blue when my previous workout was with a basic sport profile. -

I haven’t had the autolap issue but also never use the basic sport profiles so could be the difference we’re seeing.

@stromdiddily OHR is in the pre-start settings.

Oh you’re right. Just touch and display timeout then.
