Thanks for the answers! Can you put pictures or the like on the watch as a screen do you know?
This is not possible as far as I know.

@David-Lown
Two things -
when checking with the heart rate strap, the measurement is accurate. just to note that there is the issue of HRV ( soon to com to 9pp & vertical)
Regarding pictures or the like on the watch as a screen - soory no can do -

- Some concerns over the OHR - anyone have any major issues? I’m not too bothered by 5-7bpm out.
I’ve had the steel version for a few days now and have done a few runs (Easy runs at a constant speed/pace, the strap was tight around wrist). Unfortunately, the OHR is rather poor. The errors sometimes reach 20-30 bpm. It is much worse than Coros Pace 3, Garmin Fenix 7, Garmin FR 955. I hope that the problem can be further improved with software updates.

Thanks for the answer. Do you think it will be possible in the near future?
Cheers

@David-Lown
Putting pictures on the screen? I doubt that this will be high priority for a sports and training focused watch…
But you never know… -

Well, we’ve seen a Eurovision video song running on the Vertical, so who knows

But you never know…Thanks, it’s just the barcode I’m after. I’m pretty sure when I used Suunto almost 7 years ago, there were lots of user written widgets. Given the immense screen, it would be a tad pants if we couldn’t do something, along with NFC.
When I run, or any type of exercise tbh, I want peace and quiet so I never take a phone with me. My little bit of me time. -

That was my experience with the Vertical, but only during the first 10’-15’.

@gizmo try playing with the strap tightness.
For myself I find that during the cooler time of the year OHR is more difficult for the watches.
If I now pull the strap more tight, I restrict capillary blood flow even more…@Luis-Andés-Olmedo At the same time it makes sense that after like 10-15’ values become better -> body becomes warmer during workout -> capillary blood flow becomes better.

If I now pull the strap more tight, I restrict capillary blood flow even more…I will try for sure
From my many years of testing, I know that OHR readings are worse on cold days and when the skin sweats a lot. -

Yes, I can understand that. But my F7 do not need those 10’ to proved good values…

@Luis-Andés-Olmedo ok, good for this combination then, you and F7
My vertical does not need those 10min as well - I was just trying to explain this effect, IF it happened.

Thanks! and good to know that the Vertical OHR works for some people

though OHR in both Vertical and Race is almost always failing on me during my bike commutes. I have yet to find a setup that makes this work - handle bar vibration seems to be extra difficult

polar verity sense is the answer. Much more comfortable than chest strap . Works very well with Vertical
