Bug in Walking or watch
-
Hi,
yesterday i was out for a bit walking for around 1 hour. After that i tried to stop/save the walking, but the watch was unresponsive around 2-3 minutes. I was only able to select in the list up and down. It was not possible to go back to the main menu and it was not possible to select any other option in the list.
The watch got responsive again after 2-3 minutes and said: Walking calibrated. So what has the watch done in this long time ? Bug ?. If it was calibrating something it would be better to inform the user before this happens so he knows, that the watch is unresponsive for that time.
This firmware feels more than a alpha or beta version. Hope this all gets fixed soon.
Bigger font for notifications and emoticons would also be great. I have difficulties to read this small font. -

completly disagree here! The firmware on my race feels rocksolid! No freezes, no lags, everything runs smoothly. Also there are no bugs (besides a little one, that the “fitness” watchface with steps / calories and resources doesn’t seem to update resources sometimes). So what is that “all” you mention? Also the fonts are perfectly readable. You either have a completly different watch, or this should have gone into the Vertical forum ?
When it comes to a lag while saving -> How many memory is left on your Race ( can be seen in the maps install screen?) Maybe if there is too less space here?

Definitely bug in walking, not in watch.
It’s a sport watch. It’s meant to race according to it’s name.
Not to be walked.
If treated with slow walking, the watch will strike back and punish you with slow saving!(btw: was also wondering to what the "this all" was referring to...)

Egika you just called @zhang965 to post 16’40min/km comment here
Seriously, I didn’t see the great Suunto tester performing 16’40/km run with suunto race, it’s maybe the reason the Suunto Race sucks on such speed.
So, if you run in such speed, Suunto Vertical is a better choose.

@ChrisA I am 51 years old and for sure, the used font in the Suunto Race is a bit small. Besides that i get a lot of notifications that include a lot of emoticons. So i have the little font size text and between often a lot of squares. That doesn´t look good.

@Frank-Stefan well, I am 53 and I am with you on that detoriating eyesight thing , but you won’t find a lot of sportswaches, with much bigger numbers on the screen. For me the Race screen is awesome good, while running. With 3 to 4 fields I can easily read the numbers without glasses and that’s really great for me. This also worked with the Vertical, so I am happy, that Suunto changed the fonts in that way.
