Track Run
-
Hi,
Thinking about purchasing Suunto Race, seems to be a great watch! However, could not find a Trac workout mode as Garmin and Coros has, hence being able to run on a 400m track and the watch constantly syncing the position, making each lap 400m. Similar to the “snap to route” feature in Suunto. This is important to me in order to actually make the switch from Garmin to Suunto. The “snaap to route” will not work for this right?

@Vemee It sort of can, incidentally and not on purpose, but it’s cumbersome. You can create a route on a specific track, and make sure while creating is actually 400m; then use snap to route there.
I did it once and it worked, but I only ran one lap. it might be that you’d need to know in advance how many ladies you plan on doing and actually repeat the track as many time when creating the route - not sure

@Vemee snap to route would work, if you have the route with all the laps you need (pretty cumbersome). There is no automatic track mode.

There is a lap Suunto plus app that trigger each time you pass the same location. That should work on track no ?

@v-sacre Si e si chiama “LOOP”

@v-sacre
It will work to automatically count loops and duration of each, but will not make each lap exactly 400m -
Thanks all for the answers. Even if workarounds exist, would it not be better if Suunto added the feature? They obviously have the technology via the snap to route feature. Would be great if it could be added in the future

@Vemee sure.
