Let’s start a list where to get information from reviewers:

I didn’t get a tester for the Race, so this is more info/background rather than a review just yet: https://www.actionhub.com/news/2023/10/13/amoled-display-casts-suunto-race-sport-watch-in-a-new-light/

I still don’t get why people keep on saying “lags” are a “not to go issue”…nobody is all the time navigating trough menus…Maybe I’m too much tolerant VS some users or testers, but I really don’t get that point…Never felt that as “lags”…
About the strap…strange too…I find the pin system very convenient and efficient. Never had issue with it.
OHR =>OK -
@Tieutieu the Vertical is the first watch I’ve had issues with the pin configuration. It’s either too loose and there is a gap between the bands or it’s too tight and it causes the clasp to sit funny

Suunto did it again (disappointing OHR into a great watch)
I am no longer considering the Suunto race…

@Luis-Andés-Olmedo It is too much dependent on the wrist dimension, skin color and veins. It may be working horribly for the reviewer, ok for you and very good for me.
It is true for all the brands as far as I know. -

It is true for all the brands as far as I know.I think this is partly true however it seems Apple Watches and the latest Garmin gen 5 sensor seem to work excellent for the majority of people. The ohr on my vertical is useless

@gone-troppo Try to change wrist from left to right and shave (I know it sounds funny but it worked for me) the area where the watch is going to sit. It worked for me and when you wear the watch is practically unnoticeable.

Word! I never had a smartwatch with correct OHR on my left wrist. It is working only on my right wrist and in a way which is identical with all Polar devices I own (H10, Verity Sense). And the advantage is that the crown cannot be turned accidentally.

I already shave the area under the watch in my left arm but damn didn’t think to try right arm wouldn’t have thought there would be any difference how strange
-
@gone-troppo I also never had good results with ohr of any kind I’ve tried (suunto or other brand).
It works well/enought for daily and sleep tracking and also for some low intensity activities (climbing…). But when intensity comes (running, trail running, cycling…), I only trust the chest strap.
