What do you expect from the next update?

• Having ‘Raise To Wake’ available in the options that you can select from during an activity. At the moment you can only have the backlight permanently on which is an unnecessary drain on the battery
Can’t you do this by turning screen timeout on? Or does that force a button push to wake it back up even w R2W global setting on?
I had another look at this whilst I was training yesterday, so I definitely don’t have the Raise To Wake in the options that are available during an activity. I do have Backlight but that is simply an on or off
How do you set the screen timeout, I can’t see how this can be done during an activity? Just to clarify and be clear, Raise To Wake does work during an activity but you need to turn it on before you start. My point was that it can’t be enabled once you’ve started an exercise and that’s something I would like to see with a future update

I would really like to see an option to avoid VO2 max calculation for walking/hiking activities, and to see it « off » by default.
I guess there are some athletic walkers that want the value, but most of us are not.
For this reason, and for now, I don’t use ohr or hr for walking/hiking exercices but I’d like to. -
Face with just 2 data fields that use the screen to maximum effect on so I can utilise the watch whilst running without glasses. I don’t need all the data as I can see that after - just lap pace and distance.
Wishful is a barcode display/app for Parkrun
-
As some have written before I also want to be able to choose what metric/info should be visible on the watch faces. as for now if I use vertical watch face and want to display the weather and date at the same time it is not possible. Also want the time be aligned, which is really annoying and be able to choose altimeter or Baro instead of just the solar bars. And have the possibility to choose weather on the sunrise/sunset watch face
-
@Tieutieu afaik it’s off for all activities except running after the last update. Or do you get also VO2 max values for non-running activities?
-
@tomasbartko oh thanks I thought it was still enabled.
I’ll check that !could someone confirm that !? Don’t want to ruin my VO2 estimation ![edit] just checked and it’s all good, no vo2 max with hr/ohr activated with walking/hikking acitivity ! Sooo happy !
-
@helgonet12 I’d like to be able to mix and match metric and imperial.
-
@Pavlas Anyway, do we know if solar get this watchface with altitude too?
-
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned before. But I really miss the button lock when I pause. I don’t understand why this option has disappeared.
-
@Pavlas A “Resume Later” function would be more useful here in my opinion.
-
@Sebastian-Linder I clearly approve that too!
-
And me too, as that was useful on my Coros Apex Pro.
-
-
@gerasimos Yeah, but I don’t mean the lock in watch mode. I mean the lock during activity, when I pause the activity.
Lock in watch mode is a very popular topic here -

Would you use a lock function if you had a resume later option? Struggling to wrap my head around a use case for both

Hi,
I fully agree for this feature!!
I think that is incredible that Suunto competitors have this feature on cheaper watches that Suunto, and Suunto not.

My thought about how I’d like “resume later” :
- finish an activity
- go to the diary, select activity you want to resume.
If it is “easy” to do, I’ll take that even if I still don’t really now when I would use it (only few times a year potentially).
Maybe I’d rather have “edit” functions in SA :
- merging activities
- cropping activities

Both would be OK for me. Whatever is easier for Suunto

Sounds good! Actually, I’m pretty sure that on Garmin watches you do not have to go to the diary, but only toggle the command for a new activity: thus, since the watch “remembers” that you have not close the last activity, you are directly “linked” to that one to choose to restart, save or delete it.
If it is “easy” to do, I’ll take that even if I still don’t really now when I would use it (only few times a year potentially).
I agree with you on the real application of the command but, in case of, what about the comfort of not have to check constantly if the activity accidentally has restarted?
-
@Matúš That’s how it works on Garmin’s and IMHO it’s a good design
