Reminder to move regularly
-
For those of us with sedentary jobs its well evidenced that we’re healthier and happier (and, less importantly, more productive) if we move a fair bit about every hour.
But it’s hard to keep track of that
With a watch I’m wearing pretty much all the time that monitors movement, it would seem easy to introduce an optional reminder timer that the user can set to remind them to move, say every hour, with the watch resetting if movement happens sooner.

I am certain a “stand up reminder” will be easy to implement. Let’s see what the next software update brings…

Make sure to turn it off when at the cinema or on a plane

@wakarimasen “Do not disturb” should fix that

@peakymatt Personal preference I guess but when I wore a Garmin or Polar with that feature, I almost always disabled it. Seemed like a good idea in practice but always would go off at not possible movement times. Garmins would activate in a work meeting, or sitting in the car on a long drive, or a few hours after long rides or runs for example. I would be sitting on the couch recovering drinking a beer and it would bleep ‘You need to move!’ I would be like ‘F’ off lol.
