      Hi,
I recently started to explore the mountains by following planned routes (just to make sure I get home for dinner šŸ™‚ ) and very often it happens that the altitude navigation stops working after I start to exit the route i.e. the remaining ascent or descent field does not update anymore (even if I return on the route again) and shows me ā€œoff-routeā€ until I end the activity; the current elevation field updates though). has anyone else experienced this issue?

@gi0vanni Not entirely clear on the issue here. If you are off route the route elevation profile is as you show. If you return to the route the watch will tell you ā€œback on routeā€ and the route elevation profile will work. This is normal.

sometimes does not work and stay forever with the off route warning

@gi0vanni It need a sufficient time back on route to work. This is a 9PP so I will check on a long route tomorrow. Has been working for me but I mainly use watch on test firmware. Will try production firmware tomorrow.

I’ve tried to pause and resume activity, stand still on route for minutes etc. as said not always happens and today is the 2nd time out of 5. thanks!
btw, I have to exit and return on route many times before triggering the issue.

I tested this over the weekend on a route and within a few minutes the altitude profile reversed itself to the correct orientation. One needs to be moving so the watch knows which way you are traveling and a few minutes.
