Military Grade Durability

The 9 Peak Pro is listed as having Military Grade Durability, but the 9 Peak not. Yet reviews suggests their hardware is similar.
Does the 9 Peak have the same quality durability and construction, but it was just not tested for military standards but the 9 Peak Pro was? -
That’s correct. Suunto told me that the 9PP and Vertical are the only two watches they sent through the official military testing process.
I dont think anything really changed durability-wise with those devices, it just became a new/better way to market the watch.

@CalRun48 Yes hardware is very similar, If I remember correctly, Suunto talked a bit about it in their Suunto Vertical Webinars, they said that the 9 peak pro (an then the vertical) was tested because many people believed the watch could be easily damaged as it looks fairly “not ultra reinforced” like the other watches, and they put the 9 peak pro to independent test to “prove” that it is durable, they also mentioned they made some minor tweaks to pass the certification, but they didn’t say what.
