Unread notifications shown again

Hi,

I’m having issues with my unread WhatsApp notifications.

If a receive 1 message, the notification of the message gets displayed correctly on my S9PP.

But when I receive a new message (different group chat or different sender) and the old is still unread, I first get a notification of the first unread message and after the notification of the new message.

If I receive a third message, first I get the oldest unread message notification, then the second oldest unread message notification and last the newest unread message notification.

Sometimes this gets quite annoying, especially if you have 5 unread chats sometimes.

I have a OnePlus Nord 5G and a S9PP with the latest software.

Is this a bug or can I change a setting for this?
Because when I’m working, I set my watch on silent now to prevent this.
